The biggest reason weddings run late?

Ask almost any venue, photographer or wedding coordinator what throws a wedding timeline off…

and speeches will be very high on the list.

Not intentionally, but because they almost always run longer than planned.

So many couples say:

“We’ve told Dad he’s got 10 minutes.” or “The best man knows to keep it short.”

And then somehow, 10 minutes becomes 25 or more 😅

Once people are up there, emotion kicks in, stories get added, jokes take longer, and the timeline quietly disappears out the window.

So if you’re planning your timings, don’t just put down the time you hope speeches will take.

Build in the time they’ll probably actually take.

If they finish early, brilliant.

If they don’t, your whole evening won’t be playing catch-up.

This is one of the reasons we come on the planning journey with our couples long before the wedding day itself.

Sometimes the biggest difference isn't the photos or video.

It's helping couples avoid the little timeline mistakes that can have a huge impact on how the day feels.

Not exactly love at first sight 😅

Jack was convinced Hannah couldn’t have gone to the same university as him… because apparently he “knew everyone”.

Hannah very quickly let him know he was wrong.

And somehow, that first argument turned into this.

A wedding day full of laughter, personality and two people who are completely themselves together.

Exactly the kind of story that makes speeches so good to look back on.

Your Sign To Think Different For Your Coupleshoot

Amy & Kieran didn't choose this location by chance.

They chose it because it's where they met. And honestly, it made the moment far more meaningful.

One of the biggest mistakes we see couples make is assuming every photo has to happen at the venue.

Sometimes the best locations are the ones that mean something to you.

Whether thats a rugby a rugby pitch, the pub where you had your first date or the street you used to walk home together.

Those places tell your story.

Save this as a reminder that the most meaningful photo locations aren't always the most obvious ones.

A wedding day we'd happily relive again and again ☀️

Some wedding days just have a certain energy about them and Mike & Lacey's was one of them.

The sunshine, coastal setting, live music, saxophone and a dance floor that felt more Ibiza beach club than UK wedding.

This day shows exactly how a wedding can be elegant, relaxed, emotional and an absolute party all at the same time.

Sneak peeks we couldn't wait to send💌

There are some weddings where we get back to the office and know we're going to really struggle to choose just a few sneak peeks.

Mike & Lacey's wedding was definitely one of them.

From the beautiful setting at Southampton Harbour Hotel to the laughter, sunshine and incredible atmosphere throughout the day, there were so many moments we couldn't wait to start editing.

One of our favourite parts of what we do is sending couples those first few photos and their trailer while the excitement of the day is still so fresh. Just a little reminder of everything they've just experienced.

Mike & Lacey, thank you for trusting us to capture it all. We absolutely loved being part of your day. We cannot wait to share more from this one soon. 🥂🤍

Some wedding days just have that energy where everyone feels completely present, relaxed and ready to celebrate and this was definitely one of them. From the sunshine at Northbrook Park, to the nonstop smiles and all the dreamiest outdoor ceremony, Abi & Jonny’s day had such a warm, effortless feel to it.

Their trailer is full of the kind of moments we absolutely love capturing, real reactions, natural joy, guests having the best time, and two people who were completely themselves all day long.

Northbrook Park was the perfect setting for such a beautiful wedding, and honestly, this whole day was just a reminder that the best wedding films aren’t only about how everything looked… They’re about how it felt. Abi & Jonny, what a day 📷

This First Dance Stood Out Straight Away

You can hear it as soon as it starts, the reaction, the energy, everything just hits at once. It really was one of those moments where the whole room is completely locked in, and you can tell it’s going to be a good one from the very first second.
