That gorgeous warm light, a little wander away together, and a chance to just enjoy being newly married for a moment amongst all the excitement of the day. 🥹✨

I was sitting in a bird hide this evening, and I actually heard the rain approaching..it was magical.
The smell of the rain hitting the wooden hide was stunning!
My favourite sound and my favourite smell. 😍🌧

My favourite meteor shower of the year, above a castle that looks like something from a fairytale… wow. ✨🏰☄️

I absolutely love the night sky. There is something so peaceful and grounding about standing beneath thousands of stars, looking up at something so much bigger than ourselves.

Watching the Perseids streak across the sky above Bodiam Castle was incredibly special and well worth standing outside a creepy, haunted castle until just after 2am… haha! 😂

Can you see the green and pink in the first meteor? 💚🩷 Scientifically, green can come from oxygen, magnesium or nickel, while pink and red tones can be created by energised nitrogen and oxygen.

Spiritually, green represents healing and renewal, while pink symbolises love and compassion. Beautiful science or a little message from the universe, it felt incredibly special. ☄️

The universe really is beautiful. ✨

🌠Meteor shower tonight!!🌠

Okay, after all the eclipse excitement today, we’re being treated to ANOTHER little show from the sky 😂❤️ My favourite one of the year.

The Perseid meteor shower peaks tonight into the early hours, and if you fancy trying to photograph it, I’ve popped some starting settings above! 📸✨

The biggest tip I can give you is...don’t wait until you see a meteor and then try to take the photo… it’ll be long gone 😂. You blink, and you miss it!

Get your camera on a tripod, focus manually on a bright star, get your settings sorted and then let the camera keep taking photos for you. I use the built-in intervalometer on mine so I can basically leave it doing its thing and hope there’s a little surprise waiting for me in one of the frames! 🤞🏼🌠 That way, I can relax, and enjoy watching the show.

The settings in the graphic are a starting point, not a magic formula - have a little play depending on your lens, how dark your sky is and how much light pollution you have around you.

A few little things that will help:
✨ Shoot RAW
✨ Find the darkest spot you can
✨ Turn off long-exposure noise reduction if it’s creating gaps between shots
✨ Take LOTS of photos - the more frames, the more chances you have of catching one!
✨ And most importantly… look up and actually enjoy it too ❤️

I’ll definitely be getting my camera out tonight! 😂📸

Girlie lunch at today with and oh my goodness. 😍

If I was going to give any restaurant a genuine 10/10 rating, it would be here.

Honestly, the whole meal was just incredible. It’s not just going out for lunch, it feels like a proper experience from start to finish.

And the FOOD. WOW! 🤌🏼 Stunning.

I’m always in awe of the flavours at Thackeray’s! I swear and the team are pure genius 😂 I trust them so much that I literally told them to choose our entire order today… and of course, they delivered. Every dish that came out was a lovely surprise!

The service is amazing, the wines are gorgeous, the setting is beautiful and we just had the loveliest afternoon. 🥂✨

If you’ve never been to Thackeray’s in Tunbridge Wells, put it on your list. ❤️

Solar eclipse today! 🌒☀️

I have had lots of people asking me how to photograph the solar eclipse today, so I wanted to share a little safety post!

Just a little reminder to pleaseeee not look directly at the sun, and don’t point your camera at it either unless you’ve got the proper solar filter!

I would LOVE to photograph it… but I haven’t got the right filter and I think I’ve spent quite enough money this last month on my new camera and lens 😂😂 I’m absolutely not risking either of them!

I also apparently left it far too late to find eclipse glasses because everywhere seems to be completely sold out 🙃

SO… I’ll be outside with a colander. 😂

Apparently if you hold it so the sunlight shines through the little holes onto the ground (or a piece of paper), you’ll see loads of tiny little eclipse shapes! 🌒

If you haven’t managed to get the proper glasses either, give the colander trick a go! Just make sure you don’t look directly at the sun while you’re doing it ❤️

Now THAT is how you do a cake smash! 😂🎂💙

He wasted absolutely no time getting stuck into his cake... and judging by that gorgeous smile, I think it was a success! From the first curious taste to blue icing absolutely everywhere, we captured so many funny and adorable little moments 🥹

Cake smash sessions are a wonderfully messy way to celebrate your little one’s first birthday and capture their personality at such a special age.
