I know we often say, “men hate pictures.”

I totally get it but I promise hyping your wife up and being present in the moment, will make us forever thankful. Yes her and me. 😂

I had someone recently say, “you seen how mad the men look like they don’t want to be there. Then sons get older and have the same mad look. Why can’t they just be happy to be there for their wife?”

Some might not understand the importance of photography (even some women). But the ones that book a session are beyond excited and nervous. We have been planning for a while and you being involved makes the experience that much better.

The photographs are so important but the memories are to.

I just saw an advertisement for AI newborn images…..

They’re not your baby, They’re not your memories.

They’re not that tiny stretch, that sleepy yawn, that exact moment in time that will never exist again.
You’re distorting their own memory of themselves forever.

Which is so so sad!

As a newborn photographer, I’m not just creating “pretty pictures.” I’m preserving something real, which is your baby exactly as they are, in those fleeting first days. The wrinkles, the way they curl, the way they fit perfectly in your hands…

When AI generates a newborn image, it’s essentially creating a version of your baby that never existed. A pose they were never in. An expression they never made. A moment that never happened.

And one day, when your child grows up and looks back at their “baby photos”… what are they actually looking at?

memories aren’t meant to be manufactured. They’re meant to be lived, felt, and remembered.

There’s something more deeply important morally. Your child deserves to see who they really were, not an artificial version shaped by software.

Technology has its place. But replacing real memories With fake newborn images. I understand using ai for jokes and mucking about but that’s where we need to draw a line.

This is why I personally reduce the amount of ‘digital composite images’ I provide too, because although they ARE your baby, the scene is not real.

It’s just heartbreaking!

Trends like this matter because they remind people that behind every small business is a real person. Real hard work, real late nights, real passion, and a lot of heart goes into what we do. It’s easy to see a brand or a page online, but there’s always someone behind it putting in the time, effort, and love to make it all happen 🫶🏻

I’m closing my doors…

After a lot of reflection, I wanted to share some news with you all.

Many of you know that my journey to becoming a mother was not a simple one. After 10 years of fertility struggles, I was finally blessed with our beautiful son - something I will never take for granted. That journey has profoundly changed my perspective on time, priorities, and what truly matters to me.

Because of this, I’ve made the incredibly difficult but deeply intentional decision to close my photography business for now, so I can give my all to my son and be fully present during his precious early years.

This work has meant more to me than I can put into words. I am endlessly grateful for every client who trusted me, supported me, and allowed me to be part of their stories. You’ve played a huge role in my life, and this chapter will always be close to my heart.

All existing and ✨confirmed✨ bookings (deposit received and confirmed via email) will go ahead as normal, and I will be showing up for them with the same care and passion as always. However, I won’t be taking on any new bookings at this time.

This isn’t necessarily goodbye forever - just a pause. I truly hope to return in some capacity in the future when the time feels right.

Thank you for your understanding, kindness, and continued support. It has meant everything to me.
