The head of Instagram just confirmed something big: full length, horizontal videos are coming to Instagram. Over an hour long, watchable on your TV, with clips in the feed that tap straight through to the full thing.

We had a little moment in the studio when we heard it, because that's the exact system we've been building with founders since 2024. One proper conversation, recorded well, becomes the clips, the posts, the emails and the full episode.

Adam Mosseri even called it a big risk for Instagram. For founders, we think the risk is waiting.

Adam Mosseri said something on Colin and Samir that we haven't stopped thinking about: anxiety and anger about AI are growing month over month.

Instagram is responding by asking AI characters to label themselves and giving original creators more reach than the accounts that copy them.

Here's how we read it. The more the feed fills up with generated content, the more a real person talking honestly about what they know stands out. And a long conversation is very hard to fake.
