🐴 Biosecurity/Virus Outbreaks🐴
With the current national Equine Influenza outbreak, alongside recent local cases of both flu and strangles, biosecurity is something I’m taking extremely seriously. As an equine photographer visiting multiple yards, I have a responsibility to help protect everyone’s horses - including my own at home 💙
Before any photoshoot, owners will now be asked to initially confirm, and then sign a contract stating:
• There are no sick horses currently on the yard
• The yard is not under investigation/restriction for Equine Influenza or Strangles
• There has been no known recent contact with infected horses
Please do not hesitate to contact me if your horse, or a horse on your yard, develops symptoms such as:
• Coughing
• Nasal discharge
• Fever
• Lethargy
• Swollen glands/lymph nodes
• Loss of appetite
Should this ever be the case, photoshoots can happily be rearranged - I would always much rather keep everyone’s horses safe, and I appreciate owners being open and honest.
All equipment, footwear and kit are cleaned and disinfected between shoots to help minimise any risk of spread.
Thank you for helping keep everyone’s horses safe 🐴
