Here’s a sneak peek into the first half of BOA Year 13’s production of Made in Dagenham. From the factory floor to the picket lines, the energy was absolutely electric. ⚡️

Cast & crew have been working tirelessly to bring this powerhouse of a story to life—celebrating friendship, grit, and the fight for what’s right.

“They’re a lot crazier outside - Randle P. McMurphy” 🏥🎭

 

An absolute privilege to be back at The Old Rep Theatre Birmingham this week to capture the Year 13 Acting Pathway from BOA Academy in their gripping production of One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest.

 

From the clinical, high-stakes tension of Nurse Ratched’s ward to the raw, rebellious energy of McMurphy, these young performers brought incredible depth and maturity to such a complex story. The historic atmosphere and period tunes always adds that extra layer of drama to the show. 📸✨

 

A massive well done to both casts and the BOA Stage and Screen production team for their tireless work behind the scenes. It is always an honour to document the next generation of talent as they prepare for the industry.

 

This is just a sample from cast A first half of the production, second half of cast B will be posted over the weekend.

 

All images and passwords should hopefully be sent over to the Director of Acting by Monday.

🎸 Rock of Ages has officially landed in Stafford, and Musical Theatre Stafford (MTS) is turning the volume all the way up at the Gatehouse Theatre!

Running from October 22–25, 2025, this high-octane production is packed with loads of classic rock anthems from legends like Journey, Bon Jovi, Whitesnake and Europe - to name but a few!.

Set in the iconic Bourbon Room on Sunset Strip, the story follows Drew, an aspiring rock star, and Sherrie, a small-town girl chasing big dreams. When developers threaten to bulldoze the Strip into a mall, it’s up to a wild cast of rockers, rebels, and romantics to save the soul of rock 'n' roll.

🔥 Why this show rocks:

Big hair, bigger dreams: It’s a nostalgic blast back to the 1980s, complete with glam, grit, and guitar solos.

Laughs and love: Expect outrageous comedy, heartfelt romance, and a whole lot of attitude.

BOA’s Year 10 Musical Theatre students delivered their showcase with a vibrant set of performances, celebrating the theme of colour through a dazzling array of musical numbers. From the sass and sparkle of Legally Blonde to the whimsical charm of Mary Poppins, and the dreamy tones of Pure Imagination to the heartfelt Colours of My Life, they truly painted the stage with emotion and talent.
