Stop telling people they’re awkward in front of a camera. They just haven’t had the right photographer. 🤍

I’ve been a photographer for over 3 years, and I genuinely cannot believe we’re STILL making people feel like they need to know how to pose in front of a camera.

I hear it so often… “I’m so awkward in photos”, “I never know what to do with my hands” or “I’m just not photogenic”.

And it honestly makes me sad because I never want anyone to feel that way in front of my camera.

You don’t need to practise your smile, know your best angle or have any idea what to do.

I want you to feel comfortable, have a laugh, cuddle your babies and just enjoy being together making memories you can cherish forever.

I’ll guide you when you need it, but some of my favourite photographs come from the moments you aren’t even thinking about the camera.

You don’t need to know how to pose. That’s what you’ve got me for. 🤍

POV: You book the photoshoot for your children, but secretly hope the photographer doesn’t ask you to jump in the pictures🥹🤍

Mums, this one’s for you.

Maybe you don’t feel confident in yourself, you’re conscious of your post-baby body or you simply hate being in front of the camera.

BUT your children won’t see any of that. They’ll see their mummy. The cuddles, the kisses, the silly moments and the love. And One day, they’ll be so grateful to have photographs of you together, and not just the ones you’ve taken of everyone else.

You don’t need to feel camera confident. You just need to show up. I’ll take care of the rest. 🤍

You deserve to be in the memories too.

Imagine thinking your newborn needs to be asleep for beautiful photos…🥹🤍

Little Evie was 4 weeks of pure cheekiness, with the most gorgeous eye contact, sassy little expressions and looks that stole the show! 😍

But here’s the thing… my newborn sessions are always baby-led. There’s no pressure for your baby to sleep, no forcing poses if the baby does like it we move on and certainly no expectations. We simply go with the flow and follow their lead. 🤎

Lots of cuddles, beautiful natural moments and a little glimpse of their personality along the way. ✨

Because sleepy photos are beautiful, but those wide-eyed looks and tiny expressions are just as precious. 🤍

How is the tiny baby you brought home just yesterday suddenly getting ready to turn ONE? 🥹🤍

A cake smash is about so much more than just cake. 🎂 It’s the cheeky smiles, the curious little fingers, the messy faces and all those little moments you’ll look back on one day and wish you could relive.

And if you’re worrying that your little one won’t sit still or smile for the camera, don’t! They don’t need to do anything other than be themselves while I capture all the little moments that make them who they are. ✨

You might even wonder if it’s worth booking when life with three little ones feels a little unpredictable!

Nobody talks about how you can spend so long wishing for your baby to arrive, to then spend those first few weeks wishing you could slow everything down. 🤍

You’re exhausted. You’re emotional. You’re learning a whole new version of yourself while getting to know this tiny person who has turned your world upside down.

And somewhere in between the feeds, the cuddles and the sleepless nights, they’re already changing.

Their little face is changing. Their fingers are getting bigger. Those newborn stretches and sleepy cuddles won’t last forever.

You don’t need to have it all together to deserve beautiful photographs of this chapter.

You just need to show up, cuddle your baby and let me take care of the rest. 🥹

🥹🤍 3 YEARS OF DOING WHAT I LOVE!

Three years ago today, I took a little leap of faith and started Captured Memories by Anna… never imagining it would grow into what it is today.

Fast forward to now, rebranded to something that was more me Anna Rose Photography ✨ built my own studio, hundreds of beautiful families, so many beautiful weddings , and more memories captured than I could ever have imagined.

This year feels extra special as I step into a new chapter, making this business my full time focus. 🥹 Knowing that something I started as a dream is now my income and something I’m building for my family makes me prouder than words can say. 🤍

To every single person who has supported, booked, recommended, or shared my work… THANK YOU. You’re the reason I get to do what I love, and I’ll never take that for granted.
