Sam and the girls 💕

To Mum, it felt like chaos, but I had to reassure her that for me it was actually really tame 😂

Being a mum to two boys really comes in handy when I have shoots with high energy children. In fact, it’s often a bit of a relief when I can simply follow them around and capture their authentic personalities.

So if you’re worried about how your kids will “behave” during a shoot, there’s really no need. I’m never looking for perfectly posed, smiling photos, I’m looking to capture them exactly as they are in that moment.

And these girls? They had an absolute blast! 💕

Keisha & Daniel 💕

These guys really knew how to party on their wedding day!

There was never a dull moment….dancing during dinner, some very important latecomers 🤨, and so much laughter. So. Much. Laughter.

Keisha was the most perfect bride, and Daniel a true gentleman. More weddings like this, please 🫶

Families who bring the sunshine in their souls ☀️

This location suited this family more than I’ve ever known. Beaming from ear to ear, they explored the rapeseed fields with me as we watched the sunset together.

Bluebells 💜

I know I’m a little behind on sharing my seasonal shoots, and these beautiful bluebell sessions are no exception.

Instagram has a way of making you feel like everything has to be shared immediately or it gets lost. Maybe this post will, but that’s okay.

The truth is, I’ve been spending more time behind the camera than sorting out social media, and while Instagram is a big part of my business, sometimes life, family, and the people in front of my lens have to come first.

These galleries are far too special to stay hidden away just because the season has passed.

So here are three of my bluebell shoots in one post. Kings Wood was absolutely magical this year, and I’m so grateful to the families who trusted me to capture these memories amongst the bluebells.

Keeping us on our toes from the very start 💛

This little pickle not only decided to arrive early, he also arrived in a completely different country 😂
Feisty Italian blood clearly runs through him. He was alert, curious, and taking everything in throughout his newborn shoot.

As sleeping definitely wasn’t on the agenda that day, we took things outside and captured some beautiful moments under the wisteria instead.

Every newborn shoot is different. Sometimes they sleep, sometimes they don’t, and that’s absolutely okay. I’ll always allow plenty of time, with no rushing, just gentle guidance, soothing sounds, and a calm space for everyone to settle naturally.

And honestly? We didn’t have a single tear… just lots of wide eyed stares and a few determined grabs for the flowers 😂❤️

One of my most asked questions.

The most important thing is to take time out to go looking for these spots, and when you find them, get permission.

People are more than happy to let you use their land in return for something. Whether that be money, promotion, or photos.

On a footpath? Great, just make sure you know what you’re looking at. I use the Picture This app to try and find out whats growing there.

One of the reasons I do weddings is because of the people I meet.

Sometimes, the love I get to witness restores my faith in all things romantic, kind, and gentle.

Silvia and Alex absolutely adore each other. No photo could ever truly convey that, you have to be in the room with them to feel it, but I tried my best.

I would have bent over backwards for them, because the kindness and trust they showed me from day one was almost overwhelming.

I try with all of my couples to make their day exactly what they want it to be, and I really hope I did that for these two.

I’d do it all 10,000 times over for them too❤️❤️

I 💛 rapeseed.

Forget cake smashes, get a balloon and head out to the fields (dosed up on antihistamines). A first birthday photoshoot in the rapeseed is always a good idea.

I’ve always loved bold colour, and when you pair yellow with a dramatic sunset, ridiculously cute children, and a gorgeous mum, magic is created.

It was a short lived season this year, but I managed to make the most of it. I’m so grateful to have so much beauty to work with right on my doorstep.
