Absolutely smashing weekend spent photographing at Epworth equestrian for the BE eventing 3! Long days and challenging weather at times but enjoyed hopefully producing some good photos for the competitors. Ruby missed me so much on Saturday she got to come Sunday and was an absolute angel as always! Lovely meeting new people and old friends.

My interest in photography started with photojournalism, everything I try to do has this as a basis. Killing photojournalists will not stop the stories coming out. Stop this destruction now 😢

As of today (August 26, 2025) the Committee to Protect Journalists lists at least 189 journalists and media workers killed in Gaza (CPJ public dataset, Gaza tab; retrieved August 25, 2025, 10:30 a.m. EDT). CPJ has determined 26 journalist and media-worker killings to be deliberate “murders” by Israeli forces, in cases documented in Gaza and southern Lebanon, and is investigating at least 20 additional cases that show signs of possible targeting. Journalists in Gaza continue to report under the declared “complete siege” (announced on October 9, 2023).

We recall: UN Security Council Resolutions 1738 (2006) and 2222 (2015) on the protection of journalists in situations of armed conflict, which condemn attacks on the press, reaffirm journalists’ civilian status, and call on States to end impunity and prosecute those responsible for serious violations.

It was World Photography day yesterday and I was supposed to go to Lichfield Cathedral to see the Wildlife photography exhibition but along with two friends I went today instead. A celebration of great photography and thoughtful images on how we interact with wildlife. The image that stuck in my head was a photograph of dead birds laid out to emphasise how many are killed just by flying into windows in Toronto.
Definitely worth a visit and it does travel around the U.K.

It was National Pet Portrait day on Friday but I missed the opportunity to post any till today. To me most days are pet portrait days with my phone but for those extra special ones i like to get my camera out.

Just walked the course for Epworth BE event tomorrow to pick out some lovely fences to photograph…excited for the action tomorrow. Hope everyone has a great day and the weather is kind to us.

Lovely day photographing showjumping at Epworth Equestrian. The sun did come out at times just a bit of a fierce wind! Hope all competing had a great day too.

Lovely day yesterday supporting Amelia and Frank at the Cotswold Cup at Offchurch Bury organised by LandS Eventing.
Sadly they didn’t get to ride the XC but had a walk around and photographed some of the other riders. The weather also turned out better than expected and the course was beautifully designed and prepared.
