My wife always says I’ll get myself into trouble photographing people on the street. She’s probably right. What she doesn’t realise, though, is the thrill that comes with it—standing face to face with a stranger and taking their photo without blinking. Straight to the face. In most cases, it ends up just like in this photo. 🤟

My daughter’s birthday trip to the Natural History Museum in London. Armed only with my phone camera. It was a great day 🙂

This photograph was taken just a few days ago. It shows a fisherman in Corralejo on Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands. He was fishing using an old traditional Canarian method — pesca a mano, fishing with just a line — most likely for octopus. I had only a brief moment to take the photograph, politely asking for his permission. Unfortunately, I didn’t ask his name, but there is so much to be read in his face that I am extremely pleased I managed to photograph him.
