One of the biggest worries couples share with me is not knowing how to look natural in their wedding photos. The truth is, you don’t need to know how to pose or perform in any way.

The most meaningful photographs come from connection, from being present, and from simply enjoying your day together. My role is to gently guide when it is helpful, but mostly to create the space where you can relax and be yourselves.

Choosing a wedding photographer is often about much more than the photographs themselves.

For many couples, it is about finding someone they feel comfortable with. Someone they can talk to easily, someone who understands the kind of atmosphere they want their day to have, and someone they trust to quietly capture those moments as they unfold.

From the very first enquiry, I always love taking the time to properly chat about your plans. Whether that is over email or jumping on a call together, those conversations help me understand what matters most to you and how you want your day to feel.

On the wedding day itself my approach is always calm and unobtrusive. I will gently guide when it is helpful, but most of the time I am simply observing and allowing moments to unfold naturally. The laughter with your friends, the way your parents look at you during the ceremony, the quiet moments between everything else.

Those are often the moments couples tell me they treasure most when they look back at their photographs.

The couples whose photos feel the most natural are usually the couples who felt the most relaxed 🤍

Not because they knew how to pose, but because they felt comfortable, trusted the process, and focused on their day rather than the camera.

My job is never to manufacture moments, it is simply to create the space where they can happen.

The best wedding photographs rarely come from perfect poses 🤍

They come from real moments. The laughter during the speeches. The quiet hand squeeze before the ceremony begins. The way the two of you naturally gravitate towards each other throughout the day.

When a wedding day is designed to feel relaxed and present rather than overly structured, the photographs begin to reflect that atmosphere too.

You do not need to perform for the camera or think about how you look. Simply being together, enjoying the people around you and letting the day unfold naturally is where the most meaningful images are found.

Some wedding days have a particular kind of energy to them. Everything unfolds naturally and nothing feels rushed. People settle in, conversations flow easily, and before you know it the day is full of laughter, hugs, music and moments that no one thought to plan 🤍

These are the weddings I feel most drawn to photographing. Days where the focus is simply on being present with the people who matter most, rather than trying to create something perfect for the camera.

When couples allow the day to unfold like this, the photographs follow effortlessly because they are capturing what the day actually felt like.

This little thirty second glimpse is exactly that. A collection of small moments that together tell the story of a day that was joyful, relaxed and full of life.

Over the past year I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about how I want couples to experience their wedding day, and how my work fits into that.

The more weddings I photograph, the more I notice the same thing. The moments couples treasure most are rarely the ones that were carefully planned. They are the quiet in between moments. A hand squeeze before the ceremony. Friends laughing together at the table. That brief pause where everything slows down and you realise what the day really means.

That is the kind of energy I feel most drawn to photographing. Weddings that feel relaxed, meaningful and full of life. Days where couples are present with their people rather than worrying about how everything looks.
With that in mind, I have spent the last few months refining my collections and putting together a set of packages that feel truly aligned with the experience I want to offer my couples. I am really proud of them and excited to finally share them.

Each collection has been designed to support a calm, thoughtful approach to the day, giving you space to be fully present while knowing your memories are being captured carefully and naturally. These new collections will come into effect in mid March. Until then, my current pricing is still available for couples who are planning and would like to enquire.

A lot of couples tell me they don’t want their wedding to feel like a photoshoot.

Good news! Neither do I.

Photography should fit into your day but not take it over. There will always be moments where gentle direction helps but most of the time, the best images happen when you’re simply being with your people.

Laughing mid-sentence, holding hands without thinking, standing still for a second before everything begins.

If you’re planning a day that’s about presence rather than performance, we’ll likely be a good fit.

From mid-March, my packages and prices will be increasing to match the experience that surrounds it. If you enquire now my previous prices will be honoured. So, if you were still waiting, still thinking, now may be the time to enquire.

There’s a common thread in the messages I receive and it’s rarely about poses or perfection.
 It’s about reassurance. Feeling safe. Being able to enjoy the day without thinking about the camera. Blending in when needed and stepping forward gently when helpful.
 Creating space for every personality in the room, including the little ones who need a softer approach.

This is what my work has grown into.

April recap is here! Nicole & James got married at Nottingham Registry Office with the most beautiful, intimate meal surrounded by the people they love most. A few weeks later they said ‘now let’s actually party’ — and delivered. That dance floor was something else
