More than fourteen years ago, Mich, already an experienced, dance-trained model, worked patiently with me while I learned how to communicate and direct.

We created images together… and I learned a lot.

Fast forward to today, and it was an absolute pleasure to welcome Mich (Raven Lee on PurplePort) back into the studio, this time at Pretty in Pixels, alongside one of her favourite photographers, John.

Seeing that journey come full circle is something really special.

Mich said about the Boho Room:
“I love it — the details that have been put into this are brilliant… there’s definitely been a woman’s touch in there!”

Hi everyone,

I spent today at The Photography & Video Show at the NEC in Birmingham, always a great place for seeing the latest kit, lighting demos and creative setups.

There were some pretty wild content creation sets there this year (a few photos attached). Harriet even had a headshot taken by Simon Bufoot from Elinchrom, and we’ll soon be becoming stockists of Elinchrom lighting equipment.

I’m also signing up to work with Simon over the next year to develop my photographic lighting skills, which should be really interesting.

Seeing some of the sets there definitely got me thinking about what photographers actually want from studio spaces.

So I’m curious…

👉 If you could walk into a studio and one creative set was already built and ready to shoot, what would you want it to be?

Always interested to hear what people find useful rather than gimmicky.
