It’s been a busy few months and I’ve taken a little longer than planned to recover from the summer holiday madness 😅 But the schools are back and I’m finally getting around to posting on social media again!

I have lots of recent little faces to share and I thought I would start with this beautiful little lady. I know how quickly your baby’s first year passes and when newborns come back to me for their first birthday, I feel it too!

This little lady already has a special place on the wall in my studio from her newborn session, and after how well she did at her first birthday cake smash photoshoot, I think I’ll have to add some new ones! What a little cutie! 🥹💕

These little cuties came along for their cake smash to celebrate their very first birthday! 🤍

Cake smash sessions in my Renfrew baby studio, just outside of Glasgow, always begin with some simple, timeless portraits before the mess begins. I was so excited to have this gorgeous pair back in the studio again!

They definitely didn’t disappoint 🥹

One thing I’m asked a lot is, “My baby is 4, 5, 6+ weeks old… have I left it too late?” 🤍

The answer is no. I love having babies along at any age and I’d never turn a little one away because they’re “too old” for newborn photos.

Some parents love capturing those tiny, brand new days, while others prefer to wait a little longer until they’re more settled into a routine. As babies get a little older, we can often get more eye contact, little expressions and those tiny personalities starting to shine through.

Every stage is special in its own way, and if you’ve been putting off booking because you thought you’d missed your chance — you haven’t ✨

It shows just how curled up your little one was inside your tummy, while also letting me capture some of those tiny little details like in the second photo.

This gorgeous little guy gave me such a lovely variety during his session, but there’s something about this calm, neutral and relaxed image that I just love ✨.
