Ferns Photography & Content Creation Reasonable, photography services for weddings, photoshoots, landscapes, products etc. Every picture I take is a learning curve.

I love to photograph landscapes, nature, events & portraits alike & then apply my editing skills. The quirkier the better & I like to sometimes think out of the box as well as sticking to traditional snaps. I am only an amateur at this which reflects my very reasonable prices. But I'm happy to give it a go & always do my best. I have a good eye for things through the lens I think & can be flexible to suit your needs on what you may want.

What is a handfasting ceremony and what are it's origins?
The practice dates back to thousands of years to Celtic, pagan and medieval Scottish and Irish traditions.
The phrase "tying the knot" literally comes from this.
During the ritual, cords, ribbons, material or a sentimental fabric is used to represent love, loyalty or balance. This item is wrapped around the couples' joined hands, whilst blessings or vows are spoken. In this case, Sophie and Stewart wrote their own which was very emotional for all.
It is not a legal union, purely symbolic and must be combined with standard legal registration, which they did more privately back in March.
Today, couples from all backgrounds incorporate handfasting into civil or spiritual weddings.

What a couple! Stewart and Sophie were pretty much up for anything I suggested (family friendly of course!) At their handfasting ceremony.
Leather jacket clad bridesmaids walked down the aisle to Highway to hell by ACDC (tuuunne!), carrying their bouquets along with their fave tipple as you can see!
Many a champagne corks were popped, guests were seated on hay bales and there was no strict time schedule for the day. Laid back, chilled and very rock n roll vibes!
