Hello and welcome to Flag Fen’s Photography Club, a monthly informal group for people with a love of photography and the great outdoors! Working here at Flag Fen we realise that we are incredibly lucky to be surrounded by nature in all its glory. Flag Fen is not only an archaeological gem but a beautiful tranquil haven on the edge of the Fens – a parkland bursting with photographic opportunities t
hat change with the seasons. Whatever type of photography you like (digital, film, wildlife, nature, landscape, macro or a bit of everything), we hope you’ll enjoy spending a couple hours each month with us and other likeminded people, camera in hand, enjoying the great outdoors here at Flag Fen. Flag Fen staff will be on hand to offer suggestions about locations on site and potential subjects to photograph. But you will also be free to explore and create! Our aims in setting up the FFPC are simple:
· To bring together people with a common love of photography in the beautiful setting that is Flag Fen.
· To learn from each other, share ideas and encourage one another in our photography goals and aspirations.
· To share photos taken around the parkland to allow others to see the beauty within Flag Fen – we'd love to create a members’ gallery in our Visitors Centre and on-line to showcase your photos but this will always be optional for each member.
· Last but not least, we aim to keep things informal and friendly - whatever your photography experience, whatever kit you have, you will always be made to feel welcome. It’s the images you create that we’re so excited to see! The only charge payable for the club is our normal Flag Fen visitor admission (£6 per adult) but you may wish to consider upgrading to one of our annual passes for just £10. So a warm welcome to our club, we look forward to sharing our beautiful parkland with you and your camera.
