Dog friendly would be an under statement - I mean you are very welcome if you don't have a dog but the likelihood is that Jules will be looking behind you, armed with treats, trying to spot your pup!!! 🤣

Ten years ago today I left my corporate job after exactly 20 years working in the head office of a leading UK retailer and braved the world of pet photography and self employment.

Not a day goes by without me feeling grateful for the opportunity to explore a different more creative path, a healthier lifestyle, and the ability to support my parents when they needed me.

It wasn't easy starting from scratch and there were some big investments, not just the kit, but on-going training and development from world class pet photographers, and of course the studio in our back garden.

I've met some amazing people and their even more amazing pets, and had the privilege to capture special memories and heart-warming relationships, and create artwork that I know is treasured.

This interesting visual popped up on my Linked In feed courtesy of Danya Proud Chicago’s Dog Ambassador (I’ve had to copy it as it wouldn’t share).

My Reggie is somewhere between dog social and dog tolerant. Now he has been weaned off his ball obsession he’s happy to interact with other dogs (if Lily lets him!) but tends to respond to interaction rather than seek it out, unless they are old friends.

My Lily is definitely dog selective. There’s a small number of dogs she sees regularly on walks and socially, and a small number of these might be described as friends. I like to introduce her to new dogs in a calm positive way (usually on lead) until she gets to know and tolerate them.

How would you describe your dogs? 🐾

Reggie LOVES a swim and even Lily enjoys a paddle up to her tummy - but show them ANY paddling pool (and we’ve tried a few!!) and they won’t go in it, not even to retrieve a treat! 🐾🤣
