RL Creative Studios has been in business officially, for one year as of today, 1st September 2024.
There's been a lot of great stuff that's happened in the past year, but I think one of the biggest things I can take away from it: if I can give a client incredible results with the Marketing work I have been doing for them, that will increase their confidence in themselves, which will become a r

ipple effect across every interaction. It's a demonstration their target audience likes them, and will buy their products/services at events they attend. Their audience will seek them out at events advertised only on their social media, and will talk about them with their family and friends.

Being able to do this for businesses and watch them slowly begin to shine, when they were really beginning to doubt themselves and their business idea...there's not many things that will give such a heartwarming feeling like that. And knowing I did this for clients this past year, it makes me smile in slight disbelief that I have done that, considering I have no university degree and only the bare minimum Marketing qualification under my belt.

And so another chapter begins,

Today is Tuesday 1st September 2026. Two years ago I started RL Creative Studios, my Digital Marketing business, and I can't really believe it's actually been two years.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me on this journey whether its been advice, hugs, cheering me on when I've got a new client and everything in between.

They say that starting a business is one of the hardest things anyone can do. I do agree with them but I also think that if you have an idea you're so crazy passionate about, and especially if you can see no one else is solving that problem either...in my experience, it all becomes so much easier to make it work. You somehow get a fire from inside to make it work, and you become so unbelievably stubborn to problem solve, and make things better.

If anyone reading this is considering starting a business, I'd always say go for it but make sure you're absolutely clear in your head what problem you're solving for other people. I say this because that's all a business is really - providing solutions for people's needs, it doesn't matter if its a product or service.

3 years here we come! 🚀

The Aylsham Show, as a first time attendee.

Firstly thank you to all of the organisers and volunteers, I think you pulled this event off wonderfully. I have lived in Norfolk all my life, but never been to this event, so it felt like the time had come to change that.

I went by myself, paid £22 for a ticket online, and would definitely recommend for those with youngsters in the family. As for my surprise in the car park, I simply wasn't expecting there to be so many vehicles in the parking area - it certainly spoke of its popularity before I'd even got inside!

I saw lots of businesses I knew, which is always lovely - I hope it was a successful day for all of you exhibiting.

Did any of you in my audience go to the Show this year? 🤔

This week, my calendar has seen two Content Creation shoots with two separate clients. It has been so great to see these businesses actively wanting to improve their online presence and first impressions, by booking this service of mine.

💙Content Creation shoots are probably one of my favourite parts of my business. The reason why? I am literally filming high quality video and photo, to perfectly capture what a business is about, that is designed for their social media. What's not to love about that?!

3 years ago when I started being a Farmer's Market Event Manager, I would go round the market filming the stallholders products to advertise the event better online. When I was doing it, I often found myself thinking "this would be so cool if I got paid to do just this for this particular business. Like it's not part of the wider event like how it is right now. I am doing this just for this particular business, that is paying just me to film their products to help them get new customers. That would be so so awesome!"

Looking back at that time now, it's so clear that was me practising my craft. Perfecting my filming, learning new techniques on the camera, and preparing myself to be able to offer that to other businesses. And I'm so pleased I did all that, because it made me value the work I was doing at the time, and understanding how appreciated it was by the stallholders, who were struggling to do it themselves.

So if this resonates with you and how your business appears online, let's have a chat.

When I had the Marketing Meeting with Tegan and Sam (my contractors) ahead of the 60th anniversary of the Worstead Festival, I planned to a new level for me.

I gave them a three page A4 document detailing the event from start to finish with:

⚪️ My contact information at the top.
🔵 Event dates, times, and location.
⚪️ What to do in an Emergency, and where the information centre is.
🔵 Where everybody is going to be based, allocating areas on the site to each of us three, based on our interests.
⚪️ If they are looking for a particular business they have seen on social media, they can match up the pitch number included in all of the online posts, to the satellite image of where each numbered pitches are.
🔵 A satellite image of the site over the two Fields, with labels of where everything is.
⚪️ I presented them both with branded lanyards the organisers gave me, and I explained the Emergency information attached to the lanyard.
🔵 Open invitations to ask questions, and reassure them of anything.

I also presented them with the branded t-shirts I got using Joel’s business, which made me feel so proud to be able to do. I can't wait to get stuck in doing all the things my business offers, for the 60th Anniversary of the Worstead Festival - Norfolk's biggest village festival!

For this particular client, RL Creative Studios is using all of the tools available to help the charity with their Digital Marketing. This includes:
👉🏼Event Photography for the website and social media platforms to accurately show the event.
👉🏼Content Creation (taking high quality photo and video) of everything happening on site, to use on social media - the online audience loves seeing the videos!
👉🏼Social Media Management to post the content taken to the social media platforms, monitor the results and engage with the followers.
👉🏼Website updates to ensure it is accurately reflective of what is happening at the event.

Making Marketing videos is fun, but more importantly, it's a way to show more authenticity online.

Users watching know that I'm not a scammer or sharing fake information. But also, it's a way to demonstrate that I am also learning as I go, and I by no means know everything there is to know about Marketing.

When I do a few short talking videos on my 24 hour Instagram stories, I don't get scared about the way that I look or sound anymore, because I know that those who choose to follow me; enjoy the content I post, and hopefully get some value out of it.

If your Instagram, TikTok or Facebook data is declining in views, engagement and reach; try video. I know it is scary, but you've got so much knowledge in your head your audience want to learn from!

Also, video is being prioritised on these platforms now because it's more engaging.

My POV of the Worstead Festival as the Photographer, Content Creator and Event Marketer!

Being in the thick of watching people all around you experiencing such joy, laughter, happiness, and knowing you are literally capturing them living in the moment - there is just something so beautiful about that to me.

Trying to be in multiple places at once because there was JUST SO MUCH HAPPENING - the live entertainment, getting content of the public walking around, photography of some of the stallholders, content of the chef demonstrations, seeing as many of the bands as possible...

Doing continuous social media check ins, answer DMs, make sure no Facebook comments go ignored.

Late on Sunday afternoon, I wasn't prepared for how many micro-stories would happen around me, during The Booze Brothers performance.

The little girl, maybe 10 years old, who kept dancing with her Dad, and he kept swinging her round with her skirt billowing around her.

The way the woman's dress flared out as she was spun around by her partner was breathtaking, especially because they were also excellent dancers.

All of the young children playing with the bubble machine, and gathering round the girl in charge of it every few minutes. The giggling was wonderful 🥹

Lots of children being put on their parents shoulders, and giddily laughing because they were so high up.

How a dance floor quickly evolved in front of the stage, and how everybody; young and old alike all got involved in having a jig.

In conclusion, as my first time marketing such a big event like this: trying to be in 100 hundred places at once because there simply so much going on, was a new level of fun but also exhaustion. I think it took me about two full days to recover properly from this, especially because I was up at 5am both days turning content around.

Absolutely zero regrets, and genuinely might have been one of my favourite weekends ever.

So I can’t wait to do all of this again next weekend, but this time, for the 60th Anniversary!! Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July, who’s coming???

First time hiring in contractors, because I accept I am only one person and cannot capture everything that happens on site during the Worstead Festival, especially it’s 60th Anniversary!

Going through the research stage, having meetings, drawing up agreements, adjusting my insurance, clarifying details…it’s been a very stressful time lately, but I can’t believe we’re only two weeks away!

If you’re unfamiliar with this event, it’s Norfolk’s biggest village festival. A celebration of country life, powered by a huge community spirit and love for the event, that’s been happening every summer since 1966.

Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th July, do you have plans? No? Great, come along! You can get the train from Norwich into Worstead, and there’s a free tractor ride from the station.

If you’re coming along, let me know below. Would love to see some of you there 🥰

Ps. This alongside a few other events are the big ones in my yearly calendar, so this is mega for my Digital Marketing business.

I saw these stats the other day that blew my mind: 63,000 Facebook views and 11,000 Instagram views in a single month for one client. Another Social Media Management client has just recieved 63,000 Facebook views, and 11,000 Instagram views in June.

How did I get these results?

First, we stopped treating content like a broadcast. We posted what our audience actually needed to see. That meant understanding their real problems, their questions, the things keeping them up at night.

Second, we built a content system that was consistent. Not sporadic posts when we felt like it. We created a rhythm—right times, right days, reliable presence.

Third, and this is crucial, we made every single post tell a story or solve a problem. No generic motivational quotes. Every piece of content had a purpose. It either educated, entertained, or helped someone move forward. The views came because people actually wanted to watch. They weren't scrolling past. They were stopping, engaging, sharing with their networks.

That's how you get 63,000 views. Consistency, clarity, and content that matters.

New website design gone live today!

With all of my clients, I tell them you need to talk about who you are, what you do, what makes you different to your competitors which is why your customers should buy from you instead of them. One of the ingredients to do this is to include your reviews from customers, and examples of your work with data as evidence of your impact.

As my website has undergone a redesign the past three months, it’s giving me the opportunity to reflect, and dig up examples of my work that demonstrate what I can actually do.

After seeing these figures it hit me: why have I never spoken about this before? Why have I never shared how I got a client to 50,000 views in one month on Facebook (increase of 471%)?

And it’s because I forgot the significance of this, and also how important figures are to provide context for people.

So this is your reminder, go and find your customer testimonials, data evidence from your clients which shows the difference you’ve made, and integrate them into your marketing.

Your future customers will thank you for having this information easily accessible for them.

Test out my new microphone with me! Does the feeling of getting new business equipment ever get old? 🤣

Learnt my lesson that for equipment which is vital for being able to offer my Content Creation services for clients, don’t go on the cheap side for it, thinking you're getting a great deal. You're probably not, and it will break very soon because that's why it is priced like that. 🫠

The Lavalier Microphone didn't even lasted a year…but that’s what lessons are for! Plus it gives me the opportunity to make funny videos like this, to just have a play around.

If you buy from TikTok Shop, I hope your product works better in the long run than mine! It does prove the serious influence that UGC (user generated content) has nowadays though.
