Just took this photo with my new iPhone 17 Pro and, although it will never replace my DSLR cameras, I think it’s pretty impressive for a phone! The photo was taken from my home in Newtownabbey and shows the two yellow Harland and Wolff gantry cranes and two of the Mourne Mountain peaks - Slieve Donard and Slieve Commedagh

Medieval Moon

When visiting a new city it’s always exciting to enjoy the hustle and bustle of the streets during the daytime. But I always enjoy getting out and about early on at least one morning before the crowds appear to experience the sheer peace and tranquillity - when you feel like you have the entire city to yourself. It’s even more special when you manage to catch the sun coming up followed by the full moon going down. And the medieval city of Carcassone in southern France is not a bad spot at all to wander around and take in the beauty of the walls and turrets during the golden hour 😊

No moon to be seen tonight due to cloud cover, but here's a a couple of pictures from a few night's ago. Please note that the first picture of the moon over Belfast's Cavehill is a composite of two photos in order to have both the landscape and the moon properly exposed. However, the second picture (the close-up of the moon) has not been tampered with at all 🙂

Liquid Gold
