This shoot was part of a campaign for SMDC and Visit Staffordshire, celebrating just a few of the incredible places we’re lucky to have right on our doorstep 💚

We spent the day exploring some of the beautiful walks, cycling routes, and local gems the Staffordshire Moorlands has to offer — with fantastic accommodation options to stay in afterwards! A perfect mix of adventure and relaxation.

And the stars of the show – the wonderful models: Janet, Ray, Adam, Lauren and little William, who absolutely nailed his bedtime scene and brought so much character to the day!

Meet Sandy.

Here is her story in the words of the lovely Pauline and John who rehomed her:

"Sandy was found in Dudley roaming the street. It took 4 weeks to catch her once they’d seen her. She had no collar and no chip and they brought her up to City Dogs Home.

Two Days later John and Pauline visited looking to rehome, after Pauline found life was lonely since losing their previous dog. Sandy was the third dog they saw. Pauline said she looked at her, and she looked at Sandy and they just clicked and that was it, Pauline knew she was the one. They never looked at any other dogs after that. John said what shall we call her and Pauline said Sandie because of her colour.

On the Monday, Pauline and John brought their 3 year old great granddaughter to meet Sandie at the dogs home to ensure they’d get on. As soon as Sandie saw Emma she calmed down, she jumped over Pauline and John and then was very calm. They decided as they got on so well they’d have her. They collected her on the Friday at the end of March 2019

There were teething problems but they preserved, she kept trying to escape and took a while to trust them. She still has a big lump on her head where it looks like she’s been hit with something on her head. It’s scar tissue now. Pauline & John decided to keep her as she’d “wormed her way into their hearts”. It took a lot of patience and love to get her to trust them and she was very wary of everything. She’s still wary and shakes if there are loud noises but she’s always getting better and she’s a very nice temperament. "

We photographed Sandy at Paddocks for Paws as this is an amazing and safe space, it’s enclosed to let dog’s run free without them being able to escape, and you can book your own time slot for you and your pet.
