There’s something so special about a newborn session.

Those first few weeks pass by in a blur, and before you know it, they’ve changed completely. Capturing those tiny details, sleepy cuddles and early moments is something I never take for granted.

This little one was an absolute dream throughout their session.

If you're expecting, it's never too early to get in touch. Newborn sessions are best photographed within the first two to three weeks.

The Mullarkey family came in for portraits recently, and it was one of those sessions where everything just fell into place.

With family portraits, there's always a moment where everyone relaxes and stops thinking about the camera. That's the moment I'm waiting for. That's where the real images are.

The Mullarkeys were no different. A bit of gentle chaos, a few laughs, and some genuinely lovely moments in between.

No stiff poses. No forced smiles. Just them, exactly as they are.

Some sessions you plan meticulously. Others you just follow the dogs and see what happens.

This was very much the second kind.

Two absolute characters. Full of energy, completely unbothered by the camera, and utterly focused on one thing - who was going to win that rope.

I didn't direct much. I didn't need to. I just watched, moved with them, and waited for the moments to unfold naturally.

Loving the dog portraits - when you let the dog lead, the personality comes through in a way that no amount of "sit, stay, look here" ever could.

If you've got an energetic pair at home and you've been thinking about getting some proper photos of them together, this is your sign.

Family Portrait sessions are always a little unpredictable.

You plan, you have everything ready - and then a tiny person decides they have completely different ideas.

Danielle's session was one of those where we just went with it. No rushing, no forcing. We followed the children's lead and let the session find its own pace.

And it always does

The images we came away with were exactly what a family session should be. Quiet, gentle, real. The kind you frame and keep forever.
