Handful of shots from Scottish Chamber Orchestra 's sublime Cello Classics at Nairn Community & Arts Centre on Saturday.

Almost standing room only on the evening, and hardly surprising as this was such a joyful concert. SCO Principal Cello Philip Higham leading alongside fellow SCO cellists Su‑a Lee, Donald Gillan and Eric de Wit. There were moments when I had to stop shooting and just sit back and enjoy the performance. Wonderful stuff!

Photographs from Highland Third Sector Interface's Annual Conference held at my alma mater UHI Inverness last week.

Very pleased to be invited back to cover the conference this year - and nice to see some familiar faces there.

Huge thanks to Elisa, Siobhan, Janet and team for their warm welcome on the day - and well done to all for another successful conference. Very much hope to be back again next year.

📸 Photographs from Dance North Scotland's RISE Festival Weekend in Findhorn, part of Global Indigenous Voices at RISE 2026.

Over the weekend, as part of my communications role for Dance North I had the privilege of capturing moments of connection, creativity and exchange as artists, communities and audiences came together at The Park Ecovillage, Findhorn.

Through story, movement and shared experience, the festival created space for reflection, belonging and learning from one another.

These photographs capture just some of the encounters, conversations and performances that made the weekend so memorable.

Pleased to share the news that four photographs from my Unseasonably Warm series have been shortlisted for The Royal Photographic Society International Photography Exhibition 167.

Congratulations to all the other fantastic photographers who have also been shortlisted - view the list here: https://rps.org/IPE167Shortlist/.

Huge thanks to the Selectors for the IPE 167 for seeing something in these photographs during the selection process.

Big thanks also to Document Scotland, FLOW Photo Festival and Highland Print Studio for enabling me to show this work as it developed, and giving me the confidence to submit.

It's been a tricky couple of years where I haven't been able to work on documentary photograph projects as much as I would like due to work and family commitments, so being shortlisted has given me a little lift. I'm really grateful for it.

Unseasonably Warm is a documentary photography project exploring the visible impact of climate change on Scotland's skiing industry. https://www.alexander-williamson.com/unseasonably-warm

Still buzzing from this 🌿✨

Captured moments from a beautiful Spring Equinox beach gathering in collaboration with Highland Yoga Collective & Sauna Ostara — soft golden light, a lovely crowd and the most blissful energy all around.

So grateful to have been part of it 🤍
Hoping we get to create together again soon.

Somewhat belated reflections and thanks to everyone involved in Circle Networks Live Scotland 2025 — such a brilliant day to be part of.

I’m really grateful to have been invited to capture the event through photography and filmmaking. It was an inspiring room full of people genuinely connecting, sharing ideas, and building something meaningful together — exactly what these events are all about.

Huge thanks and kudos to organiser Jamie Stewart, and to the wonderful hosts Ailsa Stinson and Gareth Williams for creating such a welcoming and energising space.

Fascinating contributions from Simone Vincenzi, Dave Christie, Helen Goad, Elliot Kay, Rene Looper and Ann Johnson — so many valuable insights and stories shared throughout the day.

A great opportunity for local businesses owners to connect - if you're based in Nairn and flying solo, this is a super welcoming network to become part of.

Visual Content Services for Hospitality Businesses 📸

People eat with their eyes first – and the quality of your visual content plays a huge role in that all-important first impression.

These days most smartphones take decent photos and video. But good quality professional food content goes far beyond a quick snapshot or reel.

Professional photographers and filmmakers understand lighting, composition and styling – the details that bring out texture, colour and style, making food look as good as it tastes.

High-quality imagery also helps create a consistent, premium brand across your website and social media.

And strong visuals don’t just look better. They slow scrolling, increase engagement and ultimately encourage customers to choose your business.

Let’s face it: running a business is hard enough without having to be a professional content creator too.

But working with a one means you can focus on what you do best and leave the rest up to us.

Here’s an example of work I’ve done for other food and drink businesses in Highland and Moray. I'd love to work with you too.

Whether you're gearing up for Taste of Nairn or looking for some high quality content for future marketing, we should talk.

Send me a DM to start a conversation.
