John Stevenson would have loved this day so much! His wonderful Memorial Day at Rothbury Golf Club Ltd is only made possible by the efforts of his two sons: Alex and Jonny and his wife Lynne and John would have been so proud of them and of his grandchildren who loved every minute of this very special day in aid of The UK Sepsis Trust
John and I were so honoured to be there, as a photographer and player, in memory of such a lovely friend whom we lost far too early.

The lovely Rothbury Golf Club Calendar 2027 is coming soon! Pre-order yours at the clubhouse from tomorrow where a copy will be on view. I had the privilege of capturing the ever-changing beauty of this incredible course over the past year and loved every minute! Along the way, meeting some great members and golfers from all parts of the UK.
All profits to go back into the club which is a great asset to Rothbury and the community.

What a brilliant day, both for the competitors in the Coquet Classic Enduro bike race, and for Rothbury. It was great to see the village buzzing with cyclists everywhere you looked. For me, it was so good to be in the thick of it up Simonise to photograph the brave riders. Both the men and women were so skilled at manoeuvring some very tricky tracks. The stewards and alll those involved in setting up the trail did a great job. Sponsors included Todburn Soaps, Alncom, Hepple Spirits and Santa Cruz Pay dirt. https://www.coquetclassic.co.uk

Had a great day taking photos at The Shillmoor Farm Charity Day in aid of Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinsons UK and Injured Jockeys. Thanks so much to Frankie Walton and all concerned for all your hard work. Also many thanks to Susan Aynsley for asking me to go along to help. She was great company as always! Also present was a Grand National winning jockey: Ryan Mania from Galashiels. At 23 he was the youngest Scottish jokey to win the National in 117 years!

The Northumberland 3 day Mixed Open Golf 2026 culminated in a fantastic day of golf at Rothbury Golf Club Ltd last Thursday. Players from all parts of England plus Scotland and Wales competed for the best aggregate score after previously playing at Bellingham and Alnmouth. Last I heard Rothbury's Simon Snowball and Sue Watson were near the top of the leaderboard!

Many years ago I promised Billy and Terry I would take photographs at their wedding and last Wednesday that lovely day finally arrived. After a moving service at Alnwick Registry Office, we walked down to the Bailiffgate Hotel restaurant for a fabulous wedding breakfast, taking pictures on the way at the gate of Alnwick Castle. The sun shone, the fizz flowed, tears of joy and laughter were shared and everyone had a wonderful day. Thanks so much Billy and Terry, it was an honour to be a guest and to get the wedding photography lens out of retirement.

What a fantastic family fun day at Longframlington on Saturday. I was so happy to be asked to go along and take photos of the children and animals but there were so many other highlights for all ages. Steve from Zante the Fox and Friends came along with animals he had rescued and the children absolutely loved them, as you can see by their expressions. Longframlington FunDay brings together the entire village with great community spirit and they aim to raise essential funds for the local recreational area.

A wonderful 5 days in the beautiful Santa Eulália, in Portugal, with Vicky, Jack and family. Our granddaughters were in heaven with the hotel pool and kids' activities and the adults loved the great restaurants, lush gardens and clifftop path from the hotel to a great beach. I took the public bus to Lagos which was also lovely. History, independent shops and another very picturesque beach. I was fascinated with so many cranes' nests on top of any redundant chimney or pillar.

I had such a lovely day at Belsay with Gillian and Cynthia. A nice man who Cynthia thought was very dishy took the top photo with my camera. Loved the handkerchief tree which was imported from China. Thank you so much Gillian for asking if I'd like to go along.
