/It’s fab, isn’t it, getting feedback like this! 🤍 And a beautiful reminder of what we do as photographers. Because it’s not just about showing up on the day and taking the photos. It’s about getting to know you, making you feel comfortable, looked after, understood and as photographers being trusted with such an important day.

"We arrived home last night, we had a stop over of 3 hours in Doha and that’s when I saw your email with the gallery, it was perfect timing as the hanging around went quickly as we sat in a cafe and viewed them all on Grant’s laptop, they are brilliant, we were smiling, laughing and crying with the memories, thank you so much, they beautifully captured our day, everyone said it was the best wedding and we now have the perfect photos to remember it all, thank you again xx"

Everyone talks about having a rain plan.

Very few couples think about having a hot weather plan.

After photographing weddings during UK heatwaves, I can honestly say that bright sunshine isn’t always the dream we imagine it will be.

Guests get hot. Flowers wilt. Makeup has a harder time lasting. And those beautiful older venues? They often don’t have air conditioning.

The goal isn’t perfect weather.

It’s creating a day where everyone feels comfortable enough to actually enjoy it.

So, if you’re getting married between May and September, save this post for later. Your future self might thank you. 🤍

// A few more from Saturday's beautiful wedding... 🤍

Judy & Grant quite literally tied the knot in front of their closest family and friends. Their wedding brought loved ones together, with Grant's family travelling all the way from the other side of the world to celebrate with them.

From glorious summer sunshine and an unexpected flypast by a pair of peregrine falcons to happy tears, huge laughs, and one of the longest groom's speeches I've ever heard 🤣... it was a day full of love, emotion, and unforgettable moments.

I even got to ride in an Aston Martin! ✨🚘

Thank you both for trusting me to capture such an incredible day and all the memories that came with it.
