Oh hello!

There are quite a few new faces around here, and as we head into another lovely season of wedding bookings, I thought it might be time for a little reintroduction.

I’m Kate! American by birth, Mancunian by choice, lifelong theatre kid, hopeless romantic and very enthusiastic photographer of people in love.

I started this little business back in 2015, when my daughter was brand new and I was determined to make a career out of something that made my heart sing. Eleven years and hundreds of weddings later, I still can’t quite believe I get to call this my job.

I love beautiful things. Art and architecture and gorgeous light and all the wonderful details that people put so much thought into. But more than anything, I love PEOPLE. Their stories, their families, their friendships, the way they laugh and cry and throw themselves into celebrating the people they adore.

I’m the photographer who’ll happily straighten your veil, rally the troops for a family photograph, get a little teary during your vows and then quietly disappear when the really lovely, unplanned moments start happening.

I believe your wedding photographs should be beautiful, of course. But I also want them to remind you of how it all FELT. The anticipation, the joy, the ridiculousness, the love. All of it.

So if you’re newly engaged and looking for someone to photograph your wedding, hello! I’d absolutely love to hear what you’re planning.

I’m based in Manchester, photographing weddings throughout Cheshire, the UK and beyond, and my 2027 (and 28!) diary is open.

One of my favourite things about photographing weddings is that while you’re busy actually getting married, there are approximately 749 other tiny things happening around you.
Your mum trying not to cry. Your best mate absolutely failing not to cry. Someone quietly fixing your dress. Little hands finding big ones. Your friends watching you when you’re looking somewhere else. A rogue child doing something they DEFINITELY shouldn’t be doing.
You don’t see most of it.
I do.
And I bloody love it.
Because obviously I’ll take the big photographs. The kiss. The confetti. Your families. The two of you looking gorgeous.
But I’m always looking around the edges too.
For the people who love you watching it all happen. The hands reaching for each other. The ridiculous laughter. The slightly wonky bits. The things nobody planned and nobody thought to put on a shot list.
Because one day, I reckon some of those might be the photographs that mean the most.

Turns out you can fit quite a lot of wedding into two hours

A little reminder that not every wedding needs eight or ten hours of photography.

Sometimes you’re getting married at the town hall with 20 of your favourite people.

Sometimes there’s a ceremony, a brilliant pub and absolutely no desire whatsoever to have a photographer following you around until midnight.

Sometimes you just want the important bit.

And that is EXACTLY why my Teeny Tiny Wedding package exists.

Give me two hours and we can photograph you arriving, the nerves, the ceremony, the kiss, the enormous just-married hugs, your families, your favourite people being themselves and, yes, some properly gorgeous photographs of the two of you too.

We’ll have a little wander. Find some good light. Make something beautiful.

And then I’ll leave you to get back to your wedding.

No stretching a small celebration into a full-day package you don’t really need. No spending half of our two hours arranging endless photographs.

Just a tiny slice of your day, photographed with exactly the same amount of love as the big ones.

I have a handful of little gaps in my diary that would be PERFECT for some Teeny Tiny Weddings — particularly Manchester city centre celebrations, town hall weddings, pub weddings and generally lovely little things.

So if you’re planning something small but mighty, come and tell me about it.
