Sharing my love for the Outdoors ⛰️ 🥾

2026 Peak District Calendar now available 🙂

Hi, I’m Will. For the past eight years my eye has been set down the view finder, capturing the world around us. I have always seen this world in a unique light, quite literally. Being born with Ambylopia (Lazy eye) and Deutranopia, it means that my brain only uses one eye, of which is colour blind. I wouldn’t say that I have struggled with this, i’m just aware that I see everything different. What

made me become a photographer when vision is quite clearly very important? I have a love for art, the outdoors, and being able to look back on those incredible moments. I refuse to let this condition control what I do with my life, and so far I think my work is pretty good. Good enough to get booked for events, and sell prints of my landscapes at least. It’s quite funny really, because it usually comes as a shock when I tell people, it’s quite the juxtaposition. But it works, I also have no idea what my images really look like! But as long as you like them, that’s all that matters.

Bonus points if you can name the mountain range that the sun is rising over.

What a beautiful morning waking up to this view. The perks of wild camping ay.

My first time in this spot, and another great adventure ticking off a handful of wainwrights making it 125/214. I told my self, and a few of you, that I would have them finished by the end of the year... I’ve got some work to do! I welcome the colder weather, but hopefully we can dodge the storms and wet days because not only does it make it difficult and dangerous, but I won’t be doing much landscape photography.

Even now it’s way too hot to be carrying a heavy pack long distances and steep inclines, either way I’ll find something moan about 😆

This is what it’s all about. Sitting down with a brew, after a long hike, watching the sun dip below the horizon and then waking up to an incredible sunrise. These images were taken on a campaign for Go Outdoors / OEX with their new tent range, Jackall II.

What a dream to be able to call this work, I am truly blessed to have my dream job. 📸

One of the best mornings I’ve had, in what seems like, a very long time. It’s not often you get a woodland looking as special as this. It was a tough trudge wading my way through hip high wet grass whilst wearing shorts getting covered in all sorts of bugs and even then it took a while to find a composition. Do you think it was worth it?

Maybe an unconventional method but the micro camper allows so many extra adventures!

Take every opportunity to spend time on what you love, that’s how I got in the position in the first place. All of my hours outside the 9-5 was focused on photography because 1, I love it, and 2, I wanted to make it my career.

I did find it difficult on this morning to find a composition, which can be a little frustrating but I just slow down. Head towards the fog, and soon enough something will jump out at me, then I have to work out how to actually capture in a way that looks good. Then head to work, this weekend was capturing aerial acrobatics in a wildflower field with Lynda Barksby 📸

I’m always amazed by the images I’ve skipped over and deemed not good enough at the time… what was I thinking 😆

So here’s a “new” photo that I took last September, and will be featured in my 2027 Calendar! It’s almost ready, just doing the finishing touches. 📷

This time round it will be a UK landscape photography collection because I have spent a lot of time outside the Peak District.

I’m also running a raffle to win a framed print, entries are made with every additional calendar order. For example, if you buy 2 calendars, that’s 1 entry; 5 calendars is 4 entries. But, more on that when I’ve actually released them… just something to keep in mind :)
