What a little sweetheart this gorgeous boy was in the studio today for his cake smash! 🥹💙

He absolutely LOVED his cake and the frosting was definitely his favourite part! 😂🎂 Big shout out to Mum who made this fantastic cake for him today!

He had the cutest little smile, although we certainly had to work for those smiles today! 😆 But when they appeared, they were SO worth it! 📸✨

Before long, there was cake and frosting absolutely everywhere… his face, his hands, his feet, basically anywhere he could possibly get it! 😂

So, what better way to finish than with a lovely warm, bubbly bath! 🛁🫧 And once again, Mummy was put to work blowing bubbles to get those gorgeous smiles — and she did an amazing job! 🥹💙

A messy, giggly and oh-so-sweet way to celebrate such a special little milestone. 🎂✨

✨ 3 things parents should know before booking a newborn photoshoot ✨

If you’re thinking about newborn photos, here are 3 things most parents wish they knew sooner 👶🤍

1️⃣ The best age window is earlier than most people think
For those sleepy, curled-up newborn images, the ideal time is usually between 5–14 days old. Babies tend to sleep more deeply and settle into those cosy poses more naturally during this stage.

2️⃣ You don’t need to bring everything
A lot of parents worry about what to pack (especially when you’re already exhausted!). In my Magor studio, wraps, blankets, and newborn accessories are all ready for you — just bring baby, milk, and yourselves 🤍

3️⃣ A calm, baby-led session matters most
Newborn sessions should never feel rushed. Feeding, cuddles and settling breaks are always part of the experience. Your baby leads the pace — always.

And here’s the bit that surprises most parents…

🧸🤎 I had such a wonderful teddy bear-themed cake smash in the studio today with this adorable little girl! 🧸🤎

I've had the privilege of photographing her as a newborn, then again for her very first Christmas, and now she's back to celebrate turning ONE! 🥹

The last time she visited, she wasn't mobile yet... but today she certainly made up for it! 😂 From the moment she arrived, she was clapping, laughing and on the move, filling the studio with so much joy. Her cheeky little personality had us all smiling from start to finish. ✨

Then came the moment she'd been waiting for... the cake! 🎂 Lovingly baked by her Grandad, you could instantly see how much time, care and love had gone into creating it. It was absolutely perfect, and the birthday girl certainly thought so too. She stopped in her tracks as it was placed in front of her, taking a moment to admire it before delicately tucking in. She enjoyed every crumb, every swirl of icing and every sprinkle. 🩷🧸

To finish the session, we ended with a lovely splashy, bubbly bath, which she absolutely adored! 🛁🫧 There were lots of giggles, splashes and smiles, such a fun way to end a very special first birthday photoshoot. 🤍

Yesterday's cake smash was such a special one... 💕
This was my third time photographing this beautiful little girl, and watching her grow has been such a privilege.

Yesterday was her cake smash, and what made it even sweeter was that it was her very first taste of sugar! 🍰
She approached the cake so gently, carefully exploring every little detail. Then, once she'd realised cake was pretty delicious, she suddenly decided the best way to eat it was to bite straight into it like an apple! 😂🍎

Happy 1st Birthday to the sweetest little girl! 🎂 I hope you and your family have the most wonderful time celebrating this very special milestone later this month.

✨ This week I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the sweetest identical twin boys... just 15 days new weighing roughly 5lbs each! 💙💙

These little stars were an absolute dream. They slept peacefully throughout the entire session, making my job so easy, and I couldn't have asked for a more relaxed shoot. They truly stole my heart! 🥹

A huge shoutout to their beautiful, fun and incredibly smitten mum, who was a little nervous about being in front of the camera. She had absolutely nothing to worry about, she was a complete natural, and I'm so glad we captured these precious memories together. ❤️

I'm completely in love with how these images have turned out and can't wait to share more with their family!

Cake smash sessions are always fun and full of surprises, but this little girl had me smiling from start to finish! ✨

We began with some timeless, clean portraits of this gorgeous girl, along with a few precious family photos with her very proud mum and dad. Then it was time to bring out the balloons for a little fun before the star of the show made its appearance... the cake! 🎈🎂

The moment we placed it in front of her, her whole face lit up. She was the most expressive, photogenic little sweetheart, beaming with the biggest smiles as she happily explored every little detail. She carefully poked, squished, tasted, and delicately enjoyed her cake, taking it all in with so much joy and curiosity.

To finish the session, it was time for a lovely warm bubble bath with some adorable rubber duckies. 🛁🦆 Mum and Dad blew bubbles while she splashed, giggled, and had the best time. She absolutely loved it... and honestly, so did we! It was the perfect ending to such a fun-filled first birthday celebration.

These are the moments I love capturing, genuine expressions, real laughter, and memories that families will treasure forever. 💕

I had the pleasure of photographing the sweetest little 5-week-old today and what a memorable session it was! 🥰

He was absolutely gorgeous and so snuggly, but he certainly kept me on my toes and made me work hard for those beautiful sleepy newborn portraits for his mum and dad. This little one was incredibly strong and determined… when I gently placed him on his tummy, he actually tried to crawl on the posing table… definitely a first for me! 💪👶

His parents have kindly requested that I keep their images private and not share them on social media, which I completely respect. It’s always an honour to capture these precious memories, whether they’re shared publicly or treasured within the family.

I can’t wait to deliver their gallery and relive all of these special moments with them soon. 🤍
