I don’t slap a gloss filter over parenting and pretend it’s all golden hour cuddles and snuggles. Raising babies and children can be hard and I recognise that. Having 3 of my own I remember the relentlessness of the early days and how it felt like an ongoing mission to keep everyone (sometimes except myself) happy. Of course it’s all worth it. No one needs reminding of that. But I like to keep it really on our photoshoots together and find our honest conversations are generally what makes clients relaxed rather than me spouting out how you should enjoy every minute. What I will say is that in years to come, it will be the photos & videos you take that will become the main prompt for your memories & reminding yourself what an utterly fabulous job you did and amazing childhood you gave them. You were hanging on by a thread but they’ll never know that 🤣
