The arrival of the couple. I had not talked to them, not seen them, so I didn't know who to expect. I didn't see her at first, only in transparency, surrounded by lace, like an angel. And then, they turned, feeling slightly awkward at being met with a camera, not looking forward to being the centre of attention, just enjoying a few minutes together, I loved that meeting, and how deeper our connection grew. So a first look, from me, delighted to meet them.

Feeling strong and fast, running in the golden field. Of course the little one wanted to compete, but bless her, she's only little. So he can have his moment, being watched with love by his parents. A family photo doesn't have to have everyone in focus, what matters is the emotion, the connection and you feel the love, the pride, the amusement, the softness here, don't you?

Discovering beauty, nature together, learning to be awed, learning to see. This dad is doing a great job with the littlest one. I owe my eye to my mum's love of beauty , flowers, light, paintings. Like this whild orchid. She loved them and I think of her everytime I see one. This child will too remember his dad when he sees this flower. We transmit to our children by how we live rather that what we say so experiences matter more than words, sharing time, making time, quality time.

The bluebells are gone but the rhodos are out, and more, lovely evenings to take pfamily photos, golden light, peaceful time, not too hot or too cold, space to play, cuddle, just be. Making quality time together is priceless, the photos are the cherry on the cake.

We found this wooden log to frame the dog and he understood the pose, clever dog! he took several attempts and lots of treats as he was trying really hard to understand what was asked of him, but he managed to hold the pose long enough for this photo. Whether with kids or animals, patience is key and making the most of what happends instead of really wanting to control the outcome, which stresses everyone out. The main thing is to have a good time during the photoshoot, relax, enjoy.
