Eye to eye with the king. 🦁

Spent a morning in the Serengeti with this old male — close enough to see every scar, every fleck of gold in his eyes. There's a stillness to lions at rest that doesn't match the mythology; he barely acknowledged us, utterly unbothered, completely in command of his own patience.

Some of the most humbling minutes I've had behind a camera.
