Ruth Ferrer Photography Editorial Wedding Photography meets real emotion. For deeply present souls
šŸ“London, UK & Europe. https://ruthferrer.com

My work begins with human connection, not with poses or performance, but with how you feel together. I guide gently, move with your rhythm, and create space for real connection to unfold naturally

From there, everything unfolds naturally, images that feel calm, intentional, and deeply human. A gallery that doesn’t just show you what happened, but allows you to be fully in the moment, real interactions, real emotions, and natural flow.

Sometimes, being present means letting go of the plan.

We had originally planned to head to Richmond Park for their portraits, but with London traffic working against us, getting there would have meant spending more of their wedding day travelling than actually enjoying it.

So we changed the plan.

And somewhere between a crowded city, people making their way to a Bruno Mars concert, and everything happening around us, we found space to slow down and simply let them be together.

No rush. No pressure to make the original plan happen.

Just staying present with what was in front of us, finding the light, gently guiding when needed, and letting the rest unfold naturally.

Because creating something beautiful doesn’t have to come at the expense of experiencing the day.

It can still feel easy. Effortless. And entirely true to you.

Beautiful photographs don’t happen because everything goes exactly to plan. They happen because the experience never stops feeling effortless.

When Sophie and Michael arrived for their engagement session, the locations we’d planned were unexpectedly unavailable. So we simply kept walking.

A different corner of the park became the backdrop for their story, reminding us that the location was never the most important part.

The experience was.

There were no complicated poses. Just gentle direction: Walk together, talk, laugh, lean into each other.

Little by little, the attention shifts away from the camera and back to the person you came here for.

That’s when photographs stop feeling performed...
and start feeling like memories.

When they saw their photographs, they smiled and said...
ā€œIt looks like us… but better.ā€

Then came my favourite part:
ā€œWe had such a lovely day. We even went for a fancy dinner afterwards. Honestly, we could’ve got married that day.ā€

That’s exactly what an engagement session is meant to be.
Not just beautiful photographs.

The first chance to experience what your wedding day can feel like: calm, fully present and completely yourselves.

A calm, intentional experience that makes presence inevitable.

If that’s the kind of wedding experience you’re looking for, I’d love to hear your story šŸ™ƒ.

Your wedding day doesn’t have to feel like a performance.

This is the philosophy behind every photograph I create, and the reason my couples so often tell me, ā€œIt felt like nobody was watching us.ā€

If you’ve ever wondered what I mean by photographs shaped by presence, this is where it begins.

I take on a limited number of weddings each year for couples who want to experience their day, not perform it.

If that’s the kind of wedding day you’re dreaming of, let’s talk.

4 years walking with God today šŸ¤

And 4 truths about His character and His love for me that I constantly return to, because remembering is part of living… and living in abundance.

• Nothing is lacking. Even when life feels dark, I do not have to fear, because He is with me. Easier said than done… sometimes I still panic šŸ˜… Psalm 23

• I’m deeply loved. Jesus died and rose again for me ā¤ļøā€šŸ”„
A very important one to remember. John 15:13

• I’m chosen. Yes, chosen and royal šŸ‘øšŸ½
1 Peter 2:9
And guess what? You are too.

• God hears me. Always. Genesis 16

For a long time, I thought healing meant becoming someone else.

Now I know it’s actually returning to who God created me to be.

And this is the place from which I create now.

Not from performance.
Not from survival.
Not from needing to prove my worth.

But from presence.
From love.
From peace.
From connection.

It shapes the way I photograph people, the way I guide them, and the kind of space I want others to experience through my work: safe, seen, at ease, and fully themselves.

The most meaningful moments happen when we stop performing and start truly being present.

ā€œI will put my Spirit in you, and you will live again.ā€ Ezekiel 37:14

Still learning.
Still growing.
Still becoming.

The one thing no one tells you about engagement sessions…

Most couples think it’s simply about getting beautiful images before the wedding.

Yes… But it’s also so much more than that.

Your engagement session is your wedding day ā€œrehearsal.ā€

The moment you realise you don’t have to ā€œdo it right.ā€

Where you simply move together in front of a camera, without pressure.
Discovering what makes you both laugh, what makes you go quiet, what makes you want to lean in.
Just present with each other, naturally.

My couples tell me their wedding portraits felt so much more natural because of the session we did together beforehand. The comfort was already built. The connection was already alive.

If you’re newly engaged and wondering whether an engagement session is worth it?
it’s not just worth it.
It’s one of the most intentional gifts you can give yourselves before your wedding day. ✨

D & B Engagement immersed in a flower heaven 🤩
I’m so obsessed with this session.
I can’t even put it into words… so I’ll let the images speak for themselves.

There’s something about the veil…
The way it softens everything.
The way it creates a space that feels private, even in the middle of the day.

For a moment, it’s just the two of you.

No pressure.
No noise.
No one watching.

Just presence.

Images that feel like you,
and moments that’ll make you live it all over again.
