Foundations going down… 🏡🐦

This great tit has officially started the build — moss deliveries arriving and the nest taking shape.

After purchasing on FlightMove, it looks like construction is well underway.

Captured on the Birdfy Smart Bird House with Camera. Link in Bio!

House viewing… serious interest shown 👀🐦

I’ve been testing the Nest, Smart Bird House with Camera and the detail you get is unreal, proper front-row seat to nesting season. Really hoping for some residents this Spring. Follow along to see what happens!

Perfect Mother’s Day gift for anyone who loves their garden birds.

I was able to spend Thursday evening and all day Saturday and Sunday at Thursley Common. The main focus was Hobbies but being as quick as they are it wasn’t easy to get photos!

Here’s a few photos from my time there including Stonechats, Curlew, Whitethroat, Hobbies and Skylark.

Conditions were great yesterday so I went for a short walk in the evening to try my luck with the owls. After a couple of passes from two Short Eared Owls I was caught off guard by this Barn Owl which my mum spotted. I managed to fire off a few quick shots before it passed. It came around a few times again and put on quite a show!

Encounters like I had yesterday remind me of why I’ve spent so many early mornings and evenings stood in freezing cold fields, often seeing nothing. I will never tire of watching owls.

Woodlark in the snow this morning. I managed to get out on the common before it melted first thing this morning.

We popped out in the evening to try and see the Otters, after a while of sat seeing nothing we spotted a Mum and two pups working their way towards us. They were hunting and playing and it was amazing to see. We stayed put and they came out right infront of us making a lot of noise!

The two pups were playing and I just had to share this photo as it made me laugh 😂 they then went out into the water and we watched them at distance, they ended up going quite far out and around the corner until we eventually lost sight.
