PT879/G-PTIX, Spitfire Mk.IX seen departing the 2026 Shuttleworth Festival of Flight following a very welcome surprise appearance.

PT879 is the only surviving Spitfire flown by the Soviet Air Force during WWII. It crashed in 1945 with only 18 hours on the airframe, and was restored to flight in 2020.
