A&T travelled from the Netherlands back to one of their favourite places in Wales for their beautifully quiet ceremony by the shores of Lake Vyrnwy ✨
Just the two of them, in the land A grew up in and a lovely handfasting ceremony led by the kind-hearted Sian. They didn’t want anything big or complicated. Just somewhere meaningful to them, surrounded by nature, where they could focus on each other and the promises they were making.
The weather on Tuesday wasn’t exactly typical for June, but it was beautifully Welsh. The lake was quiet, the wind swept across the water and afterwards they sheltered beneath a tree overlooking the lake, sharing their wedding cake with us in the rain (I don’t know what it is but cake eaten out in the wild always tastes better to me).
A reminder that not every adventure needs to be big or dramatic to be meaningful. Sometimes it’s simply returning to a place you love, slowing down, and choosing to begin this next chapter together in a way that feels completely your own.
A slow, intimate morning in a place full of memories.
