Some scenes are just worth getting up for!

I’ve been scouting locations to expand The North Wales Guide from 50 to 60 locations.

I’d visited this location three times previously, including the night before seeking the perfect conditions.

With a 4.30 am alarm and with the hope of 3mph winds I dragged myself out of bed and headed to and was not just greeted with calm water but beautiful low cloud.

What a morning 🌅

A rare venture away from the hustle and bustle of writing guide books to test the new roof tent out.

Seen this lone tree on IG, it took me three hours to track it down 😅 and then finding a campsite at a farm a mere 15 minutes walk away it seemed like fate.

The sunset looked promising but the light faded quickly so happy with how this turned out ☺️

I hope everyone is doing well 👋🏻

Apparently working full time as well as running a business means you have very little time. Unfortunately that’s meant I’ve not been on social media anywhere as much as I’d like.

I’m currently in the process of updating both Wales and Scottish guides and expanding them to 60 locations. As well as writing and photographing the Yorkshire Dales. What a place that is by the way 😍

I captured these two images on a recce of the Llyn Peninsula for new locations. It was my first sunset shoot of the year and what an evening it was 🌅

Deepdale - Lake District:
I had a lovely weekend glamping in the lake district with my family. On Saturday we decided to got for a walk to seek out a waterfall which had been on my list for a very long time.

With the water levels being so low I actually missed the falls and hiked much further in to the valley than I needed to, thankfully my wife spoted these falls on the walk back.

I'd tried finding this spot online without much luck over the years but It was thanks to the excellent guide book by Ste Maguire Photography that I had the knowledge I needed to finally locate this spot. Now I know where to go I'll definitely return after some rainfall.

The Blossoms are out 😍

Wavertree Botanic Gardens is home to one of Liverpool’s most iconic spring displays, famously known as Cherry Blossom Lane. This 19th-century park features an abundant “run” of cherry trees that for a few weeks each year transform the park and create a stunning pink canopy over the footpaths.
