Jon getting ready for his wedding to Vicky on 16th June 2017. The "groom looking in the mirror" photos can be a bit clichéd, but Jon's pose and the 2nd reflection to the right due to the bevelled mirror make this a good 'un. Still one of my favourites, I think.

Tom & Kate 27/07/2018. Kids at weddings always get together and wander off, maybe it's because cousins and suchlike don't get to see each other often through the year. At the West Tower they also get loads of space and amazing views too!

Alex & Michelle 8th September 2017. The immediate congratulations straight after a ceremony are always heartfelt and often emotional. Even the blokes get a bit misty-eyed sometimes.

Although this is just a small crop of a much larger frame, the real story for me is in the details - the tattoos on the hands and the striking contrast they create against the elegance of the wedding dress.

Jon & Vicky 16th June 2017. Guests milling around in the main hall at Crewe Hall, Cheshire. I love these high perspectives!!

Lee & Lucy July 2019. I had to sneak behind the bar in the reception room to get this one. I wanted a different perspective of Lucy taking congratulations from her guests, and luckily this bit of magic happened. But it's true what they say; you make your own luck.

Lesley & Gerard, 16th July 2016 at St. Chad's Church, Kirkby.
This was my very first wedding, and it was the day I truly committed to photographing in a documentary style. This image sums it up perfectly. I’ve always loved the guest on the left with the neck-length hair and glasses — he looks like he’s wandered straight off a late-60s or early-70s LP cover, and I mean that in the best possible way.

Tom & Kate 27th July 2018. The West Tower in Aughton is one of my favourite venues because it gives you photos like this. If you've got good weather there, you can't go wrong.
