A simple day on paper … but honestly, it was full of so much more than that.
The kind of wedding where nobody is rushing off to the next thing. Where you actually get time with your guests. Where the journey between moments becomes part of the story.

I loved every bit of it all (the four hours I was there!)

The thing I’ll remember most about Lauren & James’ wedding wasn’t the weather, the venue, or the details, although they were all pretty gorgeous … It was their energy. 💛

Some couples just radiate positivity, and these two did exactly that. They had their hearts set on an outdoor ceremony at and never once doubted it. Through all the unpredictable June weather, they stayed completely focused on what mattered most: getting married, celebrating with their favourite people, and enjoying every moment.

And it paid off. They got the beautiful outdoor ceremony they’d dreamed of, surrounded by love, laughter and their four wonderful children, who were an absolute joy all day.

Then came a story during the speeches that completely melted me. They married on Wednesday 3rd June because it was Lauren’s grandad’s birthday. Years ago, she’d said she wanted to get married on his birthday one day because he meant so much to her.

Yesterday, that wish came true.

What a lovely reminder that the most meaningful parts of a wedding are often the simplest ones. ✨

I was only with these two for a couple of hours on Saturday. 🤍

Long enough to witness a beautiful ceremony at to photograph some precious moments, and see just how happy they were.

This is one of the only images I’m sharing from their wedding.

Because while I love showing my work, I love earning my couples’ trust even more.
When you invite me into your wedding day, my first responsibility is to tell your story, not create content for my social media. Some couples are happy for me to share everything. Others prefer to keep things personal. Both choices are equally respected.
Both deserve to be photographed with the same care.

And what a joy it was to spend a little time with these two. ✨

Four hours, one vintage bus, and a very good kind of love ✨

Saturday was small, intentional, and completely on their terms. Just a handful of guests … the right ones. Fully there, properly in it. From leaving the on a vintage bus (drinks already in hand), to for the ceremony…and back again, it all just flowed.
Their 14-month-old was right at the heart of it, not just there, but part of it.
And the light… We always talk about chasing the light, but this time it felt like it was chasing us. Every corner we turned, it just showed up. Soft, easy, doing its thing. They were glowing …

Simple. Joyful. Completely them. 🤍 Massive congratulations to Tamzin + Ben.

The best kind of love… Saturday at The West Mill with Eilidh & Thomas was all about connection. These two are so clearly in sync, so easy together, and such a joy to be around.
The wind did its best to make an appearance, but it didn’t touch a thing … Eilidh and Thomas embraced every second of the day with pure excitement.
There were tears (hello emotional dads and mums), brilliant speeches, including one from the bride, which I loved … and a ceilidh that brought all the energy to the evening.

If you’re planning your day, take this as your reminder: it’s not about perfect conditions, it’s about how it feels. And this one felt so good.
