Along with the Gandolfi documentary on Wednesday evening, Dan was also making paper negative portraits on this 11x14 (or was it 11x16?) Gandolfi camera, with very awesome results :)
(You'll need to invert the colours on your phone to see the positives - or I might do it for you and post them up later :) )

The Gandolfi family were one of Britain’s great camera-making dynasties, producing beautifully hand-built large-format cameras from their London workshop for more than a century. Founded in 1885 by Louis Gandolfi, the family business became known for its craftsmanship, using traditional materials such as mahogany, brass and leather. Their cameras were made for photographers, artists, scientists and institutions, with the Gandolfi name becoming synonymous with quality and longevity. Their story is captured in this documentary 'Family Business', which offers a fascinating glimpse into the final years of the family-run workshop and the people behind these remarkable cameras.
Dan will also be taking portraits with one of these amazing cameras during the evening.

Awesome day today with all the gang who came on the Analogue Wonderland Big Film Photowalk. It was a tad warm, but a cool drink at the end sorted us right out!

Oops, I thought it was next week - my bad...
So a bit short notice, but we're showing Man With a Movie Camera, a groundbreaking silent experimental film that celebrates everyday life in the Soviet Union through innovative editing and cinematic techniques. It presents a fast-paced montage of city scenes, workers, transport and leisure activities, while also revealing the filmmaking process itself. Directed by Dziga Vertov, it is widely regarded as one of the most influential documentaries ever made, showcasing the power of film to capture movement, rhythm and modern life.

And if you're really lucky, well buy you an ice cream to keep you cool (although it is pretty cool in the darkroom anyway ;) )

[Daryl] Took a bunch of students to the Science and Media Museum in Bradford today, it was pretty cool, lots of stuff from the Kodak collection and lots of cool stuff around TV etc. worth a visit if you're ever in the vicinity.
It was nice being back in Bradford, for those that don't know I used to be projectionist at the Odeon cinema there - good times 😊

Sad to hear that David Hockney has died. He was a powerhouse of creativity and an inspiration to artists all over the world. He will be missed.
Thoughts go out to his family.
