Lou and Ric’s fabulous Yorkshire Dales elopement was everything an elopement should be; relaxed, meaningful and full of personality. With lovely weather and a wonderfully chilled atmosphere, they exchanged vows beside the beautiful Middle Falls near Buckden, surrounded by some of the landscapes they love most.
Their storytelling ceremony was packed with laughter and emotion as their celebrant Eleanor shared heartfelt stories. Alongside the vows and rings, they created a stone circle together and threw a rock into the river as a symbolic blessing before popping the champagne to celebrate.
Afterwards, with walking boots on and sandwiches packed, we headed off along a stunning ridge towards Yockenthwaite, soaking up the incredible views and the simple joy of being out in the Dales. Lou and Rick were completely my kind of people – fun, easy-going and totally themselves – and it was such a privilege to document a day that was all about celebrating their relationship in the places that mean the most to them.
