Week recap 🙌

This week was all about our values: Family, Respect and Belief. ❤️

We challenged our students to think about what these values mean to them, how they help us, and how we can use them in every space we’re in, whether that’s at school, in our teams or at home.

Our weekly sessions this week:
💛Wadangali Public School
💛St Mary's North Public School
💛Pendle Hill Public School
💛Blackett Public School
💛Verona School
💛James Erskine Public School
💛Robert Townson High School
💛Elderslie High School
💛Penrith Public School
💛Jamison High School
💛York Public School
💛Cobham Youth Justice Centre

We also want to welcome three new schools to the Talk Your Walk family! 🙌
📣Michinbury Public School
📣Erskine Park High School
📣Chifley College Dunheved Campus

While I’m out challenging myself on the Kokoda Trek for a really great cause, our facilitators are stepping up and making sure all our school sessions continue to run smoothly.

Really proud of the team for continuing to show up, put in the work and support our young people. ❤️

Week 1 recap 🙌

First week of the term, and we’re back at it!

This week was all about storytelling. Sharing who we are, what we do, and why we do it.

Especially with our new schools, it was a chance to introduce Talk Your Walk and share our purpose: helping people become the best version of themselves and saving lives along the way. ❤️

Our weekly sessions this week:
✅ Blackett Public School
✅ James Erskine Public School
✅ Robert Townson High School
✅ Penrith Public School
✅ Jamison High School
✅ York Public School

We also want to welcome some new schools joining the Talk Your Walk family! 🙌

Big thank you to all our schools for continuing to trust us and allowing us to do what we do and our facilitators for insipiring our young people. 🙌

Week 5 of our personal development programme with the Upton U14 boys’ rugby team.

The growth in these boys has been Unreal, not just in their training, but also in the feedback from parents about the positive changes they’re seeing at home.

A couple of the boys did admit about getting into trouble at school but we praised them for being honest, but also reminded them that their actions have consequences. So the whole team had to do extra fitness on the field!

We reminded them about the standards we expect from each other as a group. The way you are off the field will eventually show up in your performance on it.

Park Life Metro D&C 🙌

A good day with the team at Park Life Metro D&C.

We spent the day talking about mental health, resilience and teamwork, with some group activities along the way.

Good conversations and a chance for the team to connect with each other.

Always good to see people getting involved and supporting each other.

Big thank you to the Park Life Metro D&C team for having us in. ❤️

Our first Holiday Wellbeing Day 🙌

We secured funding for 50 kids through an approved grant from DCJ - Office of Youth.

More than 50 kids came and enjoyed and learned with us.

It has been really wonderful to give back, not just to the kids but to our community as well. ❤️

It’s so good to be able to get a small grant like this and hopefully this can continue into the future.

Together with Bro Fit Penrith, hopefully we can work towards getting bigger grants from the government and continue running more services and opportunities like this for our community.

Really grateful to everyone who helped make the day happen and supported us along the way.

For those who missed this one, we will have another one in January!
