After seven years with the same camera bag, making a change felt like a bigger decision than it probably sounds.
Over time, I'd dialled in every pocket, strap and compartment of my old setup. Everything had its place and I could find gear without even thinking about it. A camera bag becomes a pretty personal piece of kit when you spend that much time with it.
Over the past couple of months, I've been taking the Ajna out on a few mini adventures, getting a feel for how it fits into the way I work. So far, I'm enjoying the experience, but I still feel like I'm only scratching the surface of what this bag can offer.
I'm yet to put it through any extended trips or bigger expeditions, but that's hopefully going to change over the summer. The real test will come when I take it on longer adventures.
I'll be sharing more thoughts, photos and videos as I spend more time with the Ajna backpack, but for now, here it is enjoying a quiet moment in the woods.
Have you ever been reluctant to replace a piece of gear that had become part of your set-up?
