Is this Salcombe at its absolute best? 💙☀️

A beautiful summer’s day captured from above, with Salcombe Harbour looking every bit as perfect as you’d hope.

Turquoise water, boats scattered across their moorings and people out enjoying everything that makes a day on the water in Salcombe so special. ⛵️💙

There really is nowhere quite like Salcombe on a day like this.

August at home in Salcombe ☀️❤️

A walk to Snapes Point to find the perfect eclipse watching spot. 😊

Ferry trips to East Portlemouth.
Perfect weather for long walks and beach days, looking over to Salcombe. 💙

I got to share a fantastic meal at Dick & Wills with you!
Best seat in the house and probably the best dining view in all of Salcombe. 🙌

I loved seeing the changing views of Salcombe on our evening walks. So many visiting yachts and the gorgeous greens of East Portlemouth. 💚

August was mostly spent at my favourite place; on the water! Probably the best way to spend a day in Salcombe. ⛵️

A great date night at The Old Stable to enjoy their alfresco dining and panoramic views.
We even did a giveaway together! 🥰
The Old Stable

Finding new spots in East Portlemouth, stopping to enjoy the view and appreciate that this is home. 4.5 years and it’s still not sunk in, I doubt it ever will! 🩵

Evening walks met with a cheeky look followed by “Shall we grab a drink? Just the one!” Somehow always seems to be a Tuesday too! 😅🍹

The best evenings and gorgeous sunsets! 🌅

A few ice creams but not nearly enough!
I don’t think you can beat buying an ice cream and strolling through town. 🍦😍

What’s your favourite sweets from Cranch’s? 🍬👇

If you’re visiting Salcombe, a trip to Cranch’s is an absolute must! Cranch's Sweetshop Est 1869

Being the oldest sweet shop in Devon, it’s packed with all the classics, from traditional favourites to fudge, chocolates and plenty of pick & mix.

And for me, there’s one clear winner… the giant snakes! 🐍🍬

It’s one of those places that’s been part of the Salcombe experience for generations, and you really can’t walk past without having a look (and probably leaving with a bag of sweets!).

So I want to know… what’s your go-to Cranch’s sweets? Tell me in the comments! 👇

Is there a better way to end a summer’s day in Salcombe? ☀️👇

It’s been about 6 weeks since I last shared this view, and I think it was time to bring it back!

Looking down the steps beside The Ferry Inn towards the East Portlemouth Ferry, you get one of those views that sums up a Salcombe summer perfectly.

Three ferries are running to keep up with the demand as beachgoers make their way back across the water, while the beer garden at The Ferry Inn is filling up and the town is still buzzing as the evening gets underway. 🍻⛵️

It’s busy, it’s lively and there’s nowhere quite like Salcombe on a summer evening. 💙

Have you ever stopped to think how much we rely on the RNLI when we’re out enjoying days like this? 🚤❤️👇

A beautiful summer evening on the Salcombe Estuary, with people enjoying the beaches, boats and paddle boards. Quietly making their way home, the Salcombe RNLI Lifeboat after an exercise.

It’s easy to take moments like these for granted when the sun is shining and the harbour is looking this beautiful.

But behind the scenes, the volunteer crew are training and preparing to respond whenever they’re needed, helping keep people safe on the water and around our coastline.

So while we enjoy everything that makes a Salcombe summer so special, let’s remember the incredible volunteers who are there to protect it. ❤️

Thank you to the Salcombe RNLI crew for everything you do. 🚤
