A moment of calm at Start Point last night.
I have not had much chance recently to take time for personal work, so this was a welcome opportunity to slow down and appreciate the wonderful place where we live.
Standing at the edge of the peninsula under the moon, you really get a sense of the history here. This Gothic-style tower has been guiding ships since 1836, overlooking the "tidal race" where the currents collide at the tip of the headland. It is easily one of the most atmospheric spots in South Devon.
The shoot was peaceful, though the aftermath was slightly more chaotic. I spent twenty minutes hunting through the grass in the dark for my glasses, only to find them in my pocket during the walk home along the coastal path.
