Oh Nepal.

I visited this spectacular beguiling contradictory country back in 2023 and there’s rarely a day when I don’t find myself daydreaming about being back.

But I wrote in my 2024 article for The Great Outdoors “in Dharapani, we saw half a village and a bridge that had been washed away by a recent landslide, buildings in Tal that were propped up on haphazard piles of bricks, and countless roofs in the uniform colour of the United Nations. We’d got used to stepping over the effects of landslides on the trail almost every day, but seeing the impact of the earthquake and monsoons on a bigger scale made it clear that this is a country still very much at the mercy of Mother Nature.”

I’ve not met kinder or more welcoming people in my travels than those in Nepal, and I’m a little heartbroken that this country has had to take another battering following the shattering earthquake of 2015.

This country depends so much on tourism. Please consider donating to the Red Cross fund if you can and help Nepal deal with its volatile geography and the insidious effects of climate change and the long lasting impact this flood will have.

The night colander sales went through the roof and everyone tried to find their glasses from 1999.

All shot on my FUJIFILM UK and Ireland with the ‘nostalgic summer’ recipe from Josh Edgoose which was just 👌 for the light and the vibes.

Postcards from a slow meander through Portugal earlier this year.

There are some places in the world where I just know the light will always deliver, and Portugal’s always been one of those places for me. The way the sunlight has a specific look that makes the colours of the sky, the buildings and the sea just 👌

And travelling by bike means you travel with the light, waking with the sun drifting lazily through the tent, warming you as you sip your first coffee of the day.

Chasing the light asks you to slow down, invites you to stop and capture the small moments, the mood, that feeling as the sun sets of another great day and of course the endless pasteis de nata.

I’m absolutely over the moon to share my first magazine cover! 🎉

I photographed this image a few months ago while covering a grassroots rugby match for . The rest of the story from that day appears in a feature on merit table rugby, which I’ll share properly soon.

For now, I’m just taking a moment to celebrate this. A magazine cover has been on my photography bucket list for a long time, so seeing one of my own images on the front is a pretty special feeling.

2026 is shaping up to be a very exciting year already, and I can’t wait to share more of what’s to come.

Bikepacking, but make it Brompton.

I’m on my way to Sweden with where and I will be unfolding our Adventure Orange and cycling the Kattegattleden from Helsingborg to Gothenburg.

Trains, bikes, sea views, 390km, wild camping, people, cinnamon buns and whatever happens in between.

See you somewhere up the Swedish coast.

If you’d asked me when I first started freelancing to describe my ideal client, it would have sounded a lot like . Good people doing good things on a scale large enough to make a genuine difference.

Last month I returned to shoot the Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge for the second time. 110 teams, two weekends, endless kilometres of hiking, biking, kayaking, running, dancing, chasing .brownlee and , a fair whack of rain and a whopping £500,000 raised.

A wonderful reminder that those dream clients exist and you should never stop chasing your dreams.

Over and out for another two years.

I’m heading off on a new photographic assignment with tomorrow.

This time the route takes me through Paris, Madrid and Barcelona, visiting exhibitions including Martin Parr and Sebastião Salgado in Paris, Walker Evans in Barcelona and Helen Levitt in Madrid.

Along the way I’ll be documenting life on the move and responding to each city through the lens of the work on show.

A photographic study of movement, place and culture across Europe by train.

First images dropping soon.

Things are about to get busy, in the best way, and I’m here for it.

A full mix of events, editorial and active travel projects across the UK and Europe are lined up for the coming months, including the bi-annual Samworth Brothers Charity Challenge in May, the fourth and a new multi-shoot assignment with a global active travel company over the summer.

Oh and there’s also a street photography collaboration announcement landing soon 👀

Let’s go.

📸 First image by on our anchors shoot a few years back, most of the rest are mine. Thank goodness I take a better portrait than I do a selfie.
