Photo Hub North CIC Photo Hub North CIC is a not-for-profit social enterprise, founded in March 2021 by Lisa Holmes, promoting social inclusion.

We facilitate community events, develop sustainable solutions, bring communities together, run workshops, offer studio and darkroom hire, provide photography facilities, and run photography-based health and wellbeing courses. We aim to improve community cohesion, the wellbeing of local people and promote an increased understanding of our shared environment, through engagement with environmentally sustainable, photography-based creative projects available to all.

I just need to take a moment to express how lucky I am to have the best volunteers at Photo Hub North.

Chris is one of them and today he’s carried out another master piece! 💫

We met when he joined one of the photography workshops I was running and he has been volunteering for us ever since.

He is an amazing engineer, and kindly using all those skills to support what we do .

From helping build Nellie the caravan, to building display board and this week he was tasked with trying to re-create the front board from Nellie the camera caravan, as the current board was weather damaged … and this is the result, it’s amazing, identical. 🤩

I’m just so lucky to have these people around me and I wouldn’t be able to do what I do without them. Thank you Chris 🙌👌

We will be running 2 workshops with Nellie:
Session 1: 11.30 am
Session 2: 1.46 pm

Both sessions are free and will include:
- experience in our camera obscura
- learning about how the caravan is a huge camera 📷
- having a portrait taken 🕺
- being the photographer 📷 and..
- developing a Print in our plant-based eco-darkroom. 🌿🚨
