I am happiest with my camera by my side, whether it’s working on a wedding shoot or walking in the hills with my children. Engagement shoots, weddings, children, family and animal portraits or landscapes; I am passionate about creating photos that perfectly capture your memories. EnaMay is a photography business that was formed in August 2012 and is named after my children – my daughter Ena and my

son Ruaridh who was born in May. It’s since having my children that I was able to start turning my passion into my business. Raised on the Isle of Mull and now living the outdoor life in a small Scottish Borders town, I can often be found walking in the hills with my family including our dog Fingal. ✨One of the questions I’m asked all the time is…

“Can siblings be in the newborn shoot?”

Absolutely. In fact, I think it would be really silly if they weren’t.

Yes, we’re celebrating your new baby, but we’re also documenting your family exactly as it is in this moment. Tiny hands holding their new brother or sister. The cuddles. The cheeky smiles. The little personalities that will change so quickly.

These photographs aren’t just for your newest addition. They’re for all of your children to look back on one day.

And let’s be honest… these are the photos you’ll treasure far more than the school ones. 🤍

Lawrie’s gallery has officially been delivered 🤍

And honestly, I found this one so hard to narrow down.

Some babies sleep beautifully.

Some babies give lovely expressions.

Some babies settle perfectly into their session.

Little Laurie did all three.

There were so many photographs that I loved that this family has ended up with a rather large gallery to choose from.

One of my favourite parts of the job is sitting down after a session and seeing all those tiny details again. The little fingers. The squishy cheeks. The way they curl up so perfectly in their parents’ arms.

The newborn stage feels long when you’re in it, but looking back, it passes in the blink of an eye.

Thank you for bringing your beautiful boy to the studio. I can’t wait for you to see the rest of your gallery.

⚡️ Real life in the studio today.

The floor has been mopped, the studio is being put back together, and I’m getting ready for a sitter session after the loveliest day of mini sessions on Saturday.

It was so nice seeing familiar faces, new faces, and families I get to see year after year. Honestly, it means so much.
I’m busy behind the scenes editing all of those gorgeous galleries and I can’t wait to start sharing some of them with you soon.

I’ve also got a few exciting things coming next week that I’ve been quietly working on, so keep an eye out.

And just a wee reminder, I’m now booking babies due in November, so please don’t leave it too late to get in touch. I’d love to get you in the diary.

✨You are not separate from your baby’s story. ✨

I know those early newborn days can feel tender. You might be tired, still healing, emotional, uncomfortable, or just not quite yourself yet.

So when mums say, “Just photograph the baby,” I really do understand.
But one day, your baby will look back at these photographs and they will look for you too.

Not the perfect version of you.

Not the polished version.

Just you.

The person who held them, fed them, settled them, loved them and carried so much in those early days.

That is why I will always gently encourage mums to step into a few photographs too.

Because you were not separate from the
story.

You were right at the centre of it.

New gallery glow up incoming ✨

I’ve been having a play with the new Pic-Time 2.0 and I’m so excited about how beautiful the galleries are looking.

Your photographs will still be delivered in the same lovely, easy way, but everything feels a little smoother, cleaner and even nicer to look through.
