Pregnancy can change so much about the way we see ourselves, but sometimes I think we forget just how incredible the female body really is. Able to create life, carry it and protect it.. and be able to
feel those tiny kicks and movements from a whole little person growing safely inside of you - it is literally magic! ✨

This season deserves to be remembered for more than just how your body looked, its the anticipation and the connection where it's just you and the baby before the world gets to meet them! 🤍

One thing I always tell parents before newborn sessions is not to worry if your toddler doesn’t sit still or wants to come and go during the shoot. There’s absolutely no pressure here 🤍

We follow their lead, keep things relaxed, and make space for real moments instead of perfectly posed ones.

Teddy was completely smitten with his baby brother Hugo - so we got big cheesy grins, gentle little nose touches, and so many cuddles! 😂

And by the end of the session he’d promoted himself to assistant photographer.

This engagement shoot at Bradgate Park had the dreamiest golden light and the most incredible sunset.

Although judging by the random rain downpours lately, it might still be a bit of a gamble 🤣

There’s something really special about photographing a family through so many chapters of their story 🤍

I’ve been lucky enough to photograph this lovely family for years now, so getting to welcome them back into the studio with their beautiful new baby girl felt extra meaningful!

The sweetest cuddles, delicate little details, and those quiet newborn moments that make the studio feel so calm and cosy during these sessions ✨

I originally started creating these little videos just for Instagram, but I’m honestly falling in love with capturing these moments in motion alongside your photographs.. I think they might have to become a permanent part of newborn sessions 🥹

When the world feels a little too loud… listen to the birdsong and look at the bluebells 🤍

I couldn’t resist making the most wholesome little video from these moments in the bluebells with my girl 🥹 (can you tell she’s a photographer’s daughter? 🤣)

And if you’re worried about how your child behaves during a photoshoot… this was actually attempt number 2 for us because she cried the entire first time 🤣

So trust me when I say don’t stress if your child doesn’t ’behave’ I’m very used to the emotional rollercoaster that comes with children 🤣🤍
