More Photographs from my UK wide project The Quirky English Countryside. I travelled from Norfolk to Wales and from Exeter to Yorkshire, stopping off in the countryside to photographs the strange and quirky things I saw along the way.
In each photograph there's something about it that just caught my eye, whether that was the shape of the land, an unusual sign, something that didn't really belong there or just something quriky and strange.
I made about 700 photographs and have condensed it down to my favourite 100. This small collection is 19-36.

The Quirky English Countryside - A massive project spanning 18 months in 2018-2019 I travelled around England and Wales making photographs with an old mobile phone. An old Nokia phone, can't remember the model now but as you'll see from some of them, looks like I used a potato!
However, the best camera is always the one you have with you but I can tell you that I regret not doing this with a proper camera.
There's hundreds of quirky photos from around the English countryside and they're all quirky in their own little way. Here's the first 18 of many...

The smoking stranger. He wandered up to the group of people congregating outside of the registry office in Coventry. I was there shooting a wedding. Before he spoke he stopped suddenly in the walkway, pulled out his pipe and incredible lighter, proceeding to light up.
He followed this act with the announcement of his medical condition and then continued along his way!
A bizarre and fleeting moment. I’m sure he mumbled something about Banbury.
Perhaps he was looking for a lady on a white horse. Although I only know of one lady on a horse in Coventry!

In 2021 during the Pandemic, I explored the entire county for a project; Leicestershire Photographed. From this project I created artwork and toured the counties street markets in Melton Mowbray (some of the Melton District is pictured in this collection), Market Harborough, Loughborough and my home town of Hinckley & Bosworth.
In fact I started the project in 2020 and continued until late 2022.
From this project a huge collection of jigsaw puzzles, postcards, calendars and framed prints were created.
I still have the collection of photographs on my hard drive - well over 10,000 photographs. Not all worth airtime of course but it is a collection of historical moments in photographs.
What should I do with them?
