Been seeing pictures of this spot for a while now and when I knew I was heading down to Dorset I knew if the conditions hit I had to get there. Massive shout out to the main for driving it was a killer wake up but the result was well worth it.

Another frame from this incredible wild garlic woodland.

Just as I was packing away and heading home, the woodland suddenly came alive as soft light broke through the trees creating one of those fleeting moments that makes every early start worthwhile.

Spring woodland photography doesn’t get much better than this. 📸

One last bluebell shot for the year before I move onto the wild garlic.

This one taken in Oxfordshire a great little spot well managed by this year bluebells are up there with the best I’ve seen so dense.

You can never have too many bluebell shots. Another frame from a wonderful woodland right on the doorstep here in the Forest of Dean. Spring has to be one of my favourite seasons, watching the woods emerge from the depths of winter as fresh greens return and the forest floor bursts into colour. Everything just feels alive again. 📸🌿

What a wonderful piece of unspoilt woodland this is lots of interesting areas these little gallops in the lower section caught my eye as an interesting subject, better suited to a sunset shoot rather than a sunrise, one for next year now.

This shot was taken on my first putting out this spring with the super talented first light at the well maintained woodland this year carpet of bluebells in my opinion the best I’ve seen in years well worth the damp mild winter for a show like this.

Spring in the Wye Valley is well and truly underway. I’m sure you’re all sick to death of bluebell shots by now, but there’s something quite special about the woods at this time of year.

Sunrise is a great time for reflection. Just you, the wildlife, and the sound of the day waking up.

Do you prefer woodland walks at sunrise or sunset? 📸

Couldn’t let Earth Day pass without sharing this one 🌍📸

Taken right here in the Wye Valley and Forest of Dean, this bluebell woodland is honestly one of the best I have ever seen and still one of my favourite images I have ever taken.

Days like today are a reminder of just how lucky we are to have places like this on our doorstep. Beautiful, timeless and well worth looking after for the future.
