Week 1 of ❓ in 🇵🇹 (suiiiiii)

Slowly getting back into routine, not having a dedicated space to work has been tricky and productivity hasn’t been the greatest but we’ve secured a makeshift setup for the time being till Project Garage Studio is a go.

Each day goes by in a flash but I’m sure once I’m fully settled in everything will be smooth sailing.

Internally I’ve noticed a shift from moving back home - I can’t quite explain what it is but once I sit in it for a bit longer I may make a video on it.

The Next Chapter 🇵🇹

Definitely up there with one of the biggest decisions I’ve done in my personal life and business life.

If I’m honest, not a huge amount of planning or thought went behind it. However looking at all the positives of making this move made it a no brainer for me.

I can’t lie but I did ball my eyes out in the plane which I didn’t think I would of but it’s a weird feeling experiencing the concept of leaving everything you know behind to start from scratch in a country where you’re actually from but never spend much time in.

Excited for what the future holds here in Portugal…even more excited to catch a proper tan at the beach.

Great filming session with Jake today, and it got me thinking about something nobody really talks about.

Being able to shoot content that’s well-lit, professionally framed and edited to a high standard takes real skill and experience - knowing what looks good and what doesn’t.

But actually being able to direct a client on how to deliver their message? Barely anyone talks about that.

Most of my in-person clients can vouch that I’ll get them to retake their lines simply because they’re not selling themselves or what they believe in. Sometimes they sound boring, monotone, or like the passion just isn’t there.

Which is fair - none of us are born knowing how to speak to a camera the way we speak to another human.

But if there’s one thing I take pride in, it’s being able to read someone’s tonality and articulation, then help them shape it into something that actually represents who they are as a coach and the passion they bring to their craft.

Usually that comes down to a few cues I give them, or setting up a scenario for them to imagine - something that gets them speaking and projecting the way they naturally would.

But what I didn’t realise is that it happens when your business becomes your WHOLE personality instead of just something you’ve built.
