Millie + Jack.

What does your wedding day look like when you decide that you want to do something that feels like you want it to. It looks like Millie and Jack’s wonderful day at home with all their loved ones. It was an honour to spend time around people who clearly all have so much love for each other. A quick trip to the registry office to get married, followed by some photos at Bradgate Park and finally back to joint family homes for a party in the garden. Oh and I couldn’t post this without a special mention to what a phenomenal baker Millie is!! The cake was made by Millie as we’re a lot of the sweet treats on the table too; I was blessed to be sent home with a box of goodies and needless to say the Hodgson household ere very grateful ☺️

A little sneaky peek at the wedding day for this wonderful duo. It was an absolute joy to be around them both along with their fun friends and family. From start to finish there was a constant stream of laughter from a whole bunch of people having the best time.

Sadie + Ryan.

This wedding felt like a long time coming after spending a long time chatting and getting to know these guys. As well as meeting their family last Summer for a family shoot. That being said this one has been a long time in the making. 2 wonderful people who have been together forever already laying down that official commitment. It was such a fun day to be with them and we had everything from steaming shirts over a kettle, a surprise F1 simulator experience, their dog being ring be**er, their daughter as flower girl and just being surrounded by people who hands down think the world of them. Sadie and Ryan I can’t wait to share more but for now here’s a little slice of your day.

Elle and James at Wildes Inn.

Sunshine all day, and a bridal party running the morning on walkie talkies, which was as funny as it sounds. Everything after that was speeches, drinks in the garden, and quality time spent with friends and family.

An intimate one, this. Just their nearest and dearest, champagne and canapés in the garden, and a wander over the bridge for their couple photos.

Marjo + David, married in Bakewell.

A shorter coverage, this one. Their ceremony, some family photos in the gardens, then a drive up to Curbar Edge with their daughter while the light was good. Then back to the wonderful Rafters at Riverside for their meal.

The Peak District showed up for them, and honestly, so did they. A couple completely at ease with each other, and a daughter right in the middle of it all.

Issie & Dylan at Barlow Woodseats Hall.

A sunny day with a bit of wind in it, which honestly just made everything feel more alive. The resident peacocks made sure they featured heavily, as is their right.

These two were surrounded by people who clearly adore them. Never once short of their favourite drinks, thanks to a steady supply line of friends, and a dancefloor that did not let up all night.

Also a first for me: foam wands repurposed as drinks vessels. Ten out of ten for innovation.

Tori + James, what a day.

The kind of hot, blue-sky summer day they’d hoped for, and it delivered from start to finish.

I spent the morning with them both as they got ready apart. James was with his groomsmen, kept calm and well entertained, and that whisky glass gift he opened barely left his hand once the reception rolled around. Tori slipped into her dress and her custom Converse, comfort sorted for the long day ahead.

Then the first look in the garden with her dad and bridesmaids. Not many dry eyes for that one.

The service was at their family church in Spinkhill, before we headed down into the village for a few photos and a pint poured for one another in the pub where they first met. Where the whole story started.

Back to Thornbridge Hall for the reception, and what a setting for an afternoon of sunshine. Laughter everywhere. Bubbles flowing, garden games, canapés doing the rounds, and a proper debate over white socks with shoes and a suit. Tables named after their favourite drinks, which felt exactly right.

Everyone had a brilliant time, Tom and I included. Always good to be working alongside Tom from Hitched Productions again too.

Sophie and James. Losehill House. Rain and all.

When the weather doesn’t cooperate at a Peak District wedding, you find out pretty quickly what the day is really made of. And this one? It was made of handwritten vows that made the room go quiet, confetti so generous it took up permanent residence in James’s hair, a live sax pushing a dancefloor way past the point of no return, and a group of lads who decided the best way to celebrate was locked arm in arm, braces and all.

Sophie’s shoes deserve their own mention. Floral, beautiful, and somehow the perfect full stop to a wedding where flowers weren’t just a detail but a thread running through the entire day.
These two are surrounded by the best kind of people. You can see it in every frame.

Knockerdown Cottages on Saturday and what a day it was. Handmade bunting, paper lanterns, smorgasbord canapes, Pieminster pies, and garden games with a crowd who absolutely relished the competition.
The weather kept us on our toes, and despite all the outdoor prep, we brought the ceremony inside under those lanterns. Ellie walked down the aisle flanked by her dad and grandad, and I challenge anyone to have kept it together at that moment. Ben’s brother delivered a best man speech that was full of real heart, the kind that reminds you why these days matter so much.
Skye was in the brilliant care of Lauren from Dog Club Derby throughout, popping in at different points to check on her humans. The cake even had a little model Skye at the base, looking like she’d already had first dibs before anyone else got a look in.
Ellie and Ben, you had so much love around you on Saturday. Genuinely grateful to have been part of it.
